Where will gold go in the next twelve months? This gold price prediction for 2027 answers that question month by month, from November 2026 to October 2027, using Vedic mundane astrology (Medinī Jyotiṣa). It reads Jupiter’s rapid (Aticārī) motion between Leo and its exaltation sign Cancer, the Rahu–Ketu shift to the Capricorn–Cancer axis on 5 December 2026, Saturn’s first entry into debilitation in Aries, five eclipses, the year-lords of Vikram Samvat 2084, Sarvatobhadra Chakra and Kūrma Chakra. It then gives approximate price ranges for 24-carat gold in India and for international gold in US dollars, and a longer outlook to 2033.
All positions are sidereal (Lahiri ayanāṃśa), computed with the Swiss Ephemeris for Indian Standard Time; the lunar nodes are mean nodes. Market figures are as of 29 October 2026.
Gold price prediction 2027 at a glance
- Starting point: 24K gold ₹1,43,950 per 10 g in India and about $4,040 per ounce internationally (29 Oct 2026), some 28% below the record of $5,589 set on 28 Jan 2026.
- Likely 12-month low: mid-December 2026 to mid-January 2027, in the ₹1,32,000–1,38,000 zone (about $3,700–3,850), when Jupiter turns retrograde, the nodes change signs and Kharmas halts wedding buying.
- Turning point: 25 January 2027, when Jupiter re-enters its exaltation sign Cancer and casts its aspect on both Saturn and Rahu.
- Likely 12-month high: mid-April to mid-May 2027, in the ₹1,68,000–1,75,000 zone (about $4,700–4,900), with Jupiter direct and exalted, the Sun exalted and Akshaya Tritiya on 9 May.
- Why gold swings so sharply: Jupiter, gold’s planet, is in an Aticārī (over-fast) phase until July 2028, crossing the Cancer–Leo gaṇḍānta three times. Past Aticārī phases brought the record-and-crash moves of October 2025 and January 2026.
- Volatile windows: the eclipse fortnights of February and August 2027, especially the total solar eclipse in Puṣya nakṣatra on 2 August 2027.
- By Diwali 2027 (29 Oct): a central estimate near ₹1,60,000 per 10 g, about 11% above today, if the rupee stays near ₹95–96 per dollar.

Gold price today in India and the world (29 October 2026)
Gold enters this forecast after a sharp fall from its January peak. It hit an all-time high of $5,589 an ounce on 28 January 2026, fell more than 10% in March as the US–Iran conflict pushed up oil and the dollar, and slipped below $4,000 in late October as markets priced a second US rate rise. The US Federal Reserve raised rates to 3.75–4.00% in September and held them on 28 October, with a further rise widely expected in December.

Why gold is ruled by Jupiter in Vedic astrology
In Jyotiṣa, Jupiter (Guru or Bṛhaspati) is the significator (kāraka) of gold, wealth, treasuries, banking and faith in the future. Gold’s value rests on exactly these things: trust, savings and protection of wealth. The Sun is also linked with gold in several texts, because it rules sovereigns, governments and state reserves; together Jupiter and the Sun describe central-bank gold and confidence in currencies. Venus rules ornaments, jewellery and weddings, so it shows India’s physical demand.
| Planet | Role for gold | What to watch in 2026–27 |
|---|---|---|
| Jupiter (Guru) | Primary significator: wealth, treasury, safe-haven trust | Aticārī motion Leo ↔ Cancer; exaltation in Cancer Jan–Jun 2027; combustion Aug–Sep 2027 |
| Sun (Sūrya) | Sovereign reserves, government, currency strength | Exalted in Aries 14 Apr–15 May 2027 |
| Venus (Śukra) | Jewellery, weddings, luxury demand | Retrograde then direct Nov 2026; combust 7 Jul–18 Sep 2027 |
| Saturn (Śani) | Scarcity, debt, contraction, discipline | Pisces → Aries (debilitated) 3 Jun 2027 |
| Rahu / Ketu | Speculation, panic, sudden breaks | Capricorn–Cancer axis from 5 Dec 2026 |
| Mars (Maṅgala) | War, oil, sharp moves | Retrograde in Leo; debilitated in Cancer 10 Mar–26 Apr 2027 |
| Mercury (Budha) | Trade, money markets, digital finance | Raja and Mantri of Samvat 2084; four retrogrades |
In a mundane chart the 2nd house (treasury), 9th (fortune and institutions) and 11th (gains) support gold, while the 8th (debt, hidden shocks) and 12th (outflows) show stress. A transit is read through the sign and nakṣatra it occupies, the aspects it receives and its strength (exaltation, debilitation, retrogression, combustion).
Method: how this forecast is built
- Gochara (transits): sign, nakṣatra, retrograde stations and combustion of all planets, computed for each month.
- Graha dṛṣṭi (aspects): Jupiter’s 5th, 7th and 9th aspects; Saturn’s 3rd, 7th and 10th; Mars’s 4th, 7th and 8th.
- Eclipses (grahaṇa): sign and nakṣatra of each eclipse, read for the following weeks.
- Samvatsara year-lords: the Raja (king) and Mantri (minister) of the Hindu year.
- Sarvatobhadra Chakra: transits over gold-linked nakṣatras.
- Kūrma Chakra: Varāhamihira’s regional map, for where in India demand and stress concentrate.
- Market calibration: the astrological reading sets direction and timing; the price ranges are anchored to today’s price and normal monthly volatility of gold (roughly 4–8%).
The year-lords: Samvat 2083 and Samvat 2084
Every Hindu year has a King (Rāja), the lord of the weekday on which Chaitra Shukla Pratipadā falls, and a Minister (Mantrī), the lord of the weekday of Mesha Sankranti.
| Year | Runs | Raja | Mantri | Reading for gold |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vikram Samvat 2083 (Raudra) | 19 Mar 2026 – 6 Apr 2027 | Jupiter | Mars | Gold’s own planet as king: a historic year for bullion (the record high), but Mars as minister brought war, oil shocks and rate rises. |
| Vikram Samvat 2084 | 7 Apr 2027 – Mar 2028 | Mercury | Mercury | Both posts held by Mercury, the planet of trade and paper money: banking, digital payments and financial markets gain; gold remains wanted but competes with financial assets. |
The change from a Jupiter year to a Mercury year in April 2027 supports the view that gold’s strongest months come before mid-2027, and that the second half of 2027 is more two-way.
The six planetary themes for gold, November 2026 – October 2027
1. Jupiter’s Aticārī motion: Leo, back to exalted Cancer, then Leo again
Jupiter entered Leo (Magha nakṣatra) on 31 October 2026 well ahead of its normal pace. It turns retrograde at 2°48′ Leo on 13 December, slips back into Cancer on 25 January 2027, turns direct at 22°48′ Cancer on 13 April and re-enters Leo on 26 June 2027. Each crossing is a timing point. The five months in Cancer, Jupiter’s sign of exaltation, are the strongest Jupiter of the whole 2026–2033 cycle and the main bullish factor in this forecast. See the full section on Aticārī Jupiter below for why this motion makes gold swing so sharply.
2. Jupiter with Ketu in Cancer, aspecting Saturn and Rahu
From 25 January to 26 June 2027 Jupiter shares Cancer with Ketu. From Cancer, Jupiter’s 7th aspect falls on Rahu in Capricorn and its 9th aspect on Saturn in Pisces. When the wealth-giver aspects both great malefics, tradition reads protection in a crisis: fear rises, but money flows to the protective asset. That is the classic safe-haven pattern for gold.
3. Rahu–Ketu move to the Capricorn–Cancer axis (5 December 2026)
Rahu enters Capricorn and Ketu enters Cancer at about 22:32 IST on 5 December 2026 (mean node; true-node and Vākya sources differ by days to weeks). Rahu in Capricorn, Saturn’s sign, amplifies government debt, administration and fiscal stress. Ketu in Cancer brings sudden breaks in public sentiment and household security. Ketu stays in Āśleṣā, next to Puṣya, until 14 August 2027 and then enters Puṣya, the nakṣatra of Bṛhaspati himself, just after the 2 August eclipse there. Rahu moves from Dhaniṣṭhā into Śravaṇa on 10 April 2027. Both point to sharp, sudden moves in gold through the second half of 2027.
4. Saturn leaves Pisces for debilitation in Aries
Saturn turns direct at 13°42′ Pisces on 11 December 2026, enters Revati on 8 February 2027 and enters Aries, its sign of debilitation, on 3 June 2027. It turns retrograde on 9 August and slips back into Pisces on 20 October 2027 before entering Aries for good in February 2028. A debilitated Saturn shows strained structures: budgets, debt, energy and labour. From Aries its 10th aspect falls on Rahu in Capricorn, a Saturn–Rahu link that mundane astrologers associate with fiscal crisis and unrest. Stress can lift gold, but if it also pushes up the dollar and bond yields, gold can fall, which is why June 2027 is read as a correction rather than a rally.
5. Mars retrograde in Leo and debilitated in Cancer
Mars enters Leo on 12 November 2026, joining Jupiter and Ketu, and casts its 8th aspect on Saturn in Pisces. It turns retrograde at 16°12′ Leo on 10 January 2027 and falls back into Cancer, its sign of debilitation, from 10 March to 26 April 2027. There it sits with exalted Jupiter, a cancellation of debilitation (nīcabhaṅga) and a Guru–Maṅgala combination. Mars brings war and oil risk; Jupiter turns that fear into demand for gold. March–April 2027 is therefore one of the strongest windows in this reading.
6. Five eclipses, combustion of Jupiter and Venus
| Date | Event | Sign and nakṣatra | Reading for gold |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 Feb 2027 | Solar eclipse | Capricorn, Dhaniṣṭhā (with Rahu) | Government finance and debt shocks; safe-haven bid |
| 21 Feb 2027 | Lunar eclipse | Leo, Maghā (with retrograde Mars) | Sharp, emotional moves |
| 18 Jul 2027 | Lunar eclipse | Capricorn, Uttarāṣāḍhā | Policy and administrative news |
| 2 Aug 2027 | Total solar eclipse | Cancer, Puṣya (Ketu 1.6° away) | The key gold eclipse: Puṣya is Bṛhaspati’s nakṣatra; spike, then reversal |
| 17 Aug 2027 | Lunar eclipse | Capricorn, Dhaniṣṭhā | Second leg of the August volatility |
| 16 Aug – 15 Sep 2027 | Jupiter combust (Guru asta) | Leo | Weaker trust in the “wealth planet”; no wedding muhūrtas |
| 7 Jul – 18 Sep 2027 | Venus combust (Śukra asta) | Cancer – Leo – Virgo | Jewellery and wedding demand falls |
Aticārī Jupiter: why gold rises and falls so suddenly
The single most important reason for gold’s violent swings in 2025–2028 is that Jupiter, the significator of gold, is in a phase of Aticārī gati (over-fast motion). Jupiter normally spends about twelve months in a sign. In an Aticārī phase it rushes into the next sign months early, turns retrograde, falls back into the sign it had left, and only later moves forward again. The Saṃhitā tradition of mundane astrology treats a Jupiter that leaves a sign before its time as a sign of disorder: seasons, prices and public confidence move out of their normal rhythm.
Because gold is Jupiter’s metal, an unsteady Jupiter produces an unsteady gold market. The pattern is not a slow trend but sharp rallies followed by sudden falls.
Five ways Aticārī Jupiter creates uncertainty in gold
- The sign lord of gold keeps changing. Jupiter alternates between Cancer (ruled by the Moon) and Leo (ruled by the Sun). In Cancer, gold behaves as an emotional safe haven driven by fear and household demand. In Leo, it behaves as a sovereign asset driven by governments, central banks and policy. Each crossing flips the market from one regime to the other, and prices overshoot while the market adjusts.
- Jupiter’s strength switches on and off. In Cancer Jupiter is exalted (strongest); in Leo it is only in a friend’s sign. Gold’s planet therefore gains and loses dignity several times within eighteen months, and the market alternately over-prices and under-prices gold.
- Jupiter crosses the Cancer–Leo gaṇḍānta three times. The last degrees of Cancer (Āśleṣā) and the first degrees of Leo (Maghā) form a gaṇḍānta, the “knot” where a water sign meets a fire sign. Jupiter crosses this junction on 31 October 2026, 25 January 2027 and 26 June 2027, and turns retrograde inside it at 2°48′ Leo on 13 December 2026. Gaṇḍānta is traditionally a zone of instability and sudden breaks.
- Stations are turning points. A planet is strongest and most “felt” when it stands still before changing direction. Jupiter’s retrograde station (13 December 2026) and direct station (13 April 2027) are the most likely dates for gold’s trend to reverse, usually within about a week either side.
- Retrograde Jupiter brings re-pricing. Vakrī (retrograde) Jupiter is read as reconsideration: investors question the value they had placed on safe assets, so earlier gains are often given back quickly.
In 2026–27 Ketu sits with Jupiter, first in Leo (until 5 December 2026) and then in Cancer (25 January – 26 June 2027). Ketu adds suddenness, so the swings come as gaps and one-day crashes rather than gentle corrections.
What happened to gold in past Aticārī phases
The last two Aticārī cycles of Jupiter coincided with some of the most violent moves in gold’s modern history. Dates are Jupiter’s sidereal (Lahiri) positions; prices are international spot prices.
| Jupiter (Aticārī phase) | What gold did |
|---|---|
| 30 Mar 2020: enters Capricorn (its debilitation) early; retrograde back to Sagittarius 30 Jun | Rallied to a then-record of about $2,070 an ounce in early August 2020 |
| 20 Nov 2020 – 6 Apr 2021: re-enters Capricorn, then races into Aquarius | Fell to about $1,680 by March 2021, roughly 19% below the August high |
| Jun – Sep 2021: retrograde in Aquarius, falls back to Capricorn | Flash crash on 9 August 2021: about $80 lost within hours, low $1,678 |
| 19 Oct 2025: enters Cancer (exalted) months early | Record high of $4,381 on 20 Oct 2025, then the steepest one-day drop since 2013 on 21 Oct (over 5%) |
| 12 Nov 2025: retrograde in Cancer; 5 Dec 2025 back into Gemini | Volatile, then a new surge |
| Jupiter retrograde in Gemini (Dec 2025 – Mar 2026) | Record of about $5,590 on 28–29 Jan 2026, then a fall of about 9% on 30 Jan 2026, the steepest daily fall since 1983 |
| 11 Mar 2026: Jupiter stations direct | Gold fell more than 10% in March 2026, its worst month since 2013 |
The pattern is consistent: new highs come when Jupiter rushes ahead or gains dignity, and the sharpest falls come within days of a sign change or a station. The current cycle (31 October 2026 to 24 July 2028) has the same structure, so the same kind of swings should be expected.
Aticārī risk calendar for gold, 2026–2028
Expect the largest daily moves within about a week either side of these dates.
| Date | Jupiter event | Risk for gold |
|---|---|---|
| 31 Oct 2026 | Enters Leo early; crosses the Cancer–Leo gaṇḍānta | Regime change from safe-haven to policy-driven gold |
| 13 Dec 2026 | Retrograde station at 2°48′ Leo (inside gaṇḍānta) | High: likely start of the sharpest fall of the cycle |
| 25 Jan 2027 | Falls back into exalted Cancer; gaṇḍānta crossing | High: likely turning point upward |
| 13 Apr 2027 | Direct station at 22°48′ Cancer, exalted | Trend acceleration upward; blow-off spikes possible |
| 26 Jun 2027 | Re-enters Leo; gaṇḍānta crossing; exaltation lost | High: correction risk |
| 27 Nov 2027 | Enters Virgo early (new Aticārī step) | Start of the next volatile phase |
| 12 Jan 2028 | Retrograde station at 3°18′ Virgo | Reversal risk |
| 29 Feb 2028 | Falls back into Leo | Swing back toward policy-driven trading |
| 14 May 2028 | Direct station at 23°18′ Leo | Trend restart |
| 24 Jul 2028 | Enters Virgo for good; Aticārī phase ends | Volatility should calm |
How to buy gold during an Aticārī Jupiter
- Do not buy a large lump sum within three days of a Jupiter station or sign change. Spread purchases over several weeks.
- Expect daily swings of 3–9% around the high-risk dates. These are normal in this phase, not necessarily the end of the trend.
- Use the retrograde and gaṇḍānta windows (December 2026 – January 2027) to accumulate, and the exalted-and-direct window (April – May 2027) to book part of short-term gains.
- Traders should keep position sizes smaller and stop-losses wider than usual until Jupiter settles in Virgo in July 2028.
- Jewellery buyers can ignore short-term swings and buy on the traditional muhūrtas listed below.

Gold price prediction Nov 2026: festival bounce, then pressure (₹1,38,000 – ₹1,52,000)
Jupiter opens the month freshly in Leo, the royal fire sign, conjunct Ketu in Maghā nakṣatra, the nakṣatra of ancestral wealth and thrones. Dhanteras (6 November) and Diwali (8 November) bring the year’s strongest physical buying, and Venus turning direct on 14 November and entering its own sign Libra on 22 November lifts jewellery demand.
Against this, Mars joins Leo on 12 November, making three planets in one fire sign, and its 8th aspect falls on Saturn, which is still retrograde in Pisces. Mars–Saturn contact is the classic signature of conflict, oil spikes and hawkish central banks. Expect a festival bounce in the first half, then renewed pressure in the second half as the market prepares for a December rate decision.
Key dates: 6 Nov (Dhanteras), 8 Nov (Diwali), 12 Nov (Mars in Leo), 14 Nov (Venus direct), 22 Nov (Venus in Libra).
Gold price prediction Dec 2026: weakest month: correction and base-building (₹1,32,000 – ₹1,46,000)
December carries three negatives for gold at once. The nodes change axis on 5 December, Saturn turns direct on 11 December and regains its full force, and Jupiter, the gold significator, turns retrograde on 13 December. From 16 December the Sun enters Sagittarius and Kharmas begins, when weddings and auspicious purchases pause in North India.
This combination points to the weakest month of the year and the likely start of the 12-month low. A test of the ₹1,32,000–1,36,000 area (about $3,700–3,800) is possible, especially if the US raises rates again in December. For long-term buyers this is a zone to accumulate in parts, not to sell in panic.
Key dates: 5 Dec (Rahu–Ketu change), 11 Dec (Saturn direct), 13 Dec (Jupiter retrograde), 16 Dec (Kharmas begins).
Gold price prediction Jan 2027: bottom, then turn-up after 25 jan (₹1,35,000 – ₹1,50,000)
The first half of January stays heavy: Mars turns retrograde in Leo on 10 January, adding to war and oil risk, and Kharmas continues until Makar Sankranti on 14 January. The second half changes the picture. On 25 January Jupiter slips back into Cancer, its exaltation sign, joining Ketu and aspecting both Rahu (7th aspect) and Saturn (9th aspect).
This is the main turning point of the forecast. The wedding season restarts after 14 January, and exalted Jupiter supports the safe-haven trade. Expect a low in the first half and a firmer close.
Key dates: 10 Jan (Mars retrograde), 14 Jan (Makar Sankranti), 25 Jan (Jupiter enters Cancer).
Gold price prediction Feb 2027: eclipse swings with an upward bias (₹1,40,000 – ₹1,58,000)
February is an eclipse month. The solar eclipse of 6 February falls in Capricorn (Dhaniṣṭhā) with Rahu, a signature of government debt and fiscal news. The lunar eclipse of 21 February falls in Leo (Maghā) with retrograde Mars. Mercury is retrograde from 9 February to 3 March, which often brings false breakouts.
Exalted Jupiter keeps the bias upward, so dips around the eclipses are likely to be bought. Expect wide swings in both directions. Guru Puṣya begins on the evening of 18 February.
Key dates: 6 Feb (solar eclipse), 8 Feb (Saturn in Revati), 9 Feb (Mercury retrograde), 18 Feb (Guru Puṣya from evening), 21 Feb (lunar eclipse).
Gold price prediction Mar 2027: bullish: safe-haven demand (₹1,45,000 – ₹1,65,000)
On 10 March retrograde Mars falls back into Cancer, its sign of debilitation, and joins exalted Jupiter and Ketu. Jupiter’s exaltation in the same sign cancels Mars’s debilitation (nīcabhaṅga), but the Mars–Ketu pairing still signals conflict, accidents and energy shocks. In mundane terms, fear rises and Jupiter channels it into gold.
March is the end of India’s financial year and has a full-day Guru Puṣya on 18 March. Expect a firm uptrend.
Key dates: 3 Mar (Mercury direct), 10 Mar (Mars enters Cancer), 18 Mar (Guru Puṣya).
Gold price prediction Apr 2027: strongly bullish (₹1,50,000 – ₹1,72,000)
April brings the strongest set of gold factors in the whole cycle. Mars turns direct on 1 April. Samvat 2084 begins on 7 April. Jupiter turns direct in exalted Cancer on 13 April. The Sun enters Aries, its own exaltation, on 14 April, so both gold significators are exalted together. Guru Puṣya falls on the morning of 15 April.
This is the most bullish month of the forecast and the likely start of the 12-month high zone. Mars returning to Leo on 26 April and the Mercury-ruled new year may slow the rise late in the month.
Key dates: 1 Apr (Mars direct), 7 Apr (Hindu New Year), 13 Apr (Jupiter direct), 14 Apr (Sun exalted), 15 Apr (Guru Puṣya), 26 Apr (Mars in Leo).
Gold price prediction May 2027: peak zone; profit-taking late may (₹1,52,000 – ₹1,75,000)
Jupiter remains direct and exalted, and Akshaya Tritiya on 9 May, the most auspicious day of the year for buying gold, falls under strong Jupiter. Venus enters Aries on 10 May and the Sun enters Taurus on 15 May.
The first half of May is the likely peak zone (₹1,68,000–1,75,000, about $4,700–4,900). As Jupiter nears the end of Cancer and Saturn approaches Aries, expect profit-taking in the second half. Investors holding gold bought in December–January may consider booking part of their gains here.
Key dates: 9 May (Akshaya Tritiya), 10 May (Venus in Aries), 15 May (Sun in Taurus).
Gold price prediction Jun 2027: correction from the highs (₹1,45,000 – ₹1,68,000)
Saturn enters Aries, its sign of debilitation, on 3 June, and its 10th aspect falls on Rahu in Capricorn. Mercury is retrograde from 10 June to 5 July. On 26 June Jupiter leaves its exaltation and returns to Leo.
Losing exalted Jupiter while Saturn weakens points to a correction from the April–May highs. A pullback of 5–8% from the peak would be normal in this reading. Stress from Saturn–Rahu may limit the fall.
Key dates: 3 Jun (Saturn in Aries), 10 Jun (Mercury retrograde), 26 Jun (Jupiter in Leo).
Gold price prediction Jul 2027: range-bound consolidation (₹1,46,000 – ₹1,66,000)
Jupiter in Leo and Saturn in Aries form a trine (both fire signs) around mid-July, the most harmonious Jupiter–Saturn angle of the cycle. Tradition reads this as stability between expansion and restraint. At the same time Venus becomes combust on 7 July, halting the wedding season, and a lunar eclipse falls in Capricorn on 18 July.
Expect a range-bound, consolidating month with lower physical demand.
Key dates: 5 Jul (Mercury direct), 7 Jul (Venus combust), 17 Jul (Sun in Cancer), 18 Jul (lunar eclipse).
Gold price prediction Aug 2027: sharp spike and reversal (₹1,45,000 – ₹1,70,000)
The total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027 falls in Cancer in Puṣya nakṣatra, ruled by Bṛhaspati and traditionally the most auspicious nakṣatra for buying gold, with Ketu 1.6° away. An eclipse in the gold nakṣatra is the single strongest volatility signal in this forecast. Saturn turns retrograde on 9 August, Jupiter becomes combust from 16 August, and a second lunar eclipse falls in Capricorn on 17 August.
Expect a sharp spike around the eclipse followed by a reversal once Jupiter becomes combust. This is the month with the lowest confidence and the widest range.
Key dates: 2 Aug (solar eclipse in Puṣya), 9 Aug (Saturn retrograde), 16 Aug (Jupiter combust), 17 Aug (lunar eclipse).
Gold price prediction Sep 2027: dip: accumulation zone (₹1,42,000 – ₹1,62,000)
Jupiter stays combust until 15 September and Venus until 18 September, so both the wealth planet and the jewellery planet are weak for much of the month. Pitru Paksha, when purchases are traditionally avoided, follows. Physical demand is at its lowest of the year.
Expect a dip. For patient buyers this is the second accumulation window of the year, ahead of the festival season.
Key dates: 15 Sep (Jupiter rises), 17 Sep (Sun in Virgo), 18 Sep (Venus rises).
Gold price prediction Oct 2027: festival recovery (₹1,50,000 – ₹1,72,000)
Venus enters its own sign Libra on 3 October, Navratri and the festival season begin, and Saturn retreats from Aries back into Pisces on 20 October, easing the pressure of debilitation. Mercury is retrograde from 7 to 28 October, so expect sharp intraday swings.
Dhanteras on 27 October and Diwali on 29 October 2027 bring strong buying. The year is likely to close near ₹1,60,000 per 10 g in this reading, about 11% above today.
Key dates: 3 Oct (Venus in Libra), 7 Oct (Mercury retrograde), 20 Oct (Saturn back in Pisces), 27 Oct (Dhanteras), 29 Oct (Diwali).
Best dates to buy gold, November 2026 – October 2027
Traditional gold-buying days combine an auspicious nakṣatra or tithi with a strong Jupiter. These dates are for ritual and personal purchases, not trading signals.

| 29 Oct 2027 | Diwali |
Traditionally, avoid starting large purchases during Kharmas (16 Dec 2026 – 14 Jan 2027), during eclipses, and while Jupiter is combust (16 Aug – 15 Sep 2027).
Sarvatobhadra Chakra: which nakṣatras are under stress

Sarvatobhadra Chakra (SBC) is a 9×9 grid of 81 squares holding the 28 nakṣatras (with Abhijit), the 12 signs, the vowels and consonants and the tithi groups. A planet transiting a nakṣatra casts vedha (piercing) along its row, column and diagonals. When malefics pierce the nakṣatras linked to a commodity, its price becomes unstable; benefic vedha supports it. Layouts and rules vary between lineages, and applying SBC to gold is a specialised mundane technique.
For gold, this reading watches the nakṣatras of Jupiter (Punarvasu, Viśākhā, Pūrvabhādrapadā), of the Sun (Kṛttikā, Uttaraphalgunī, Uttarāṣāḍhā) and Puṣya, whose deity is Bṛhaspati.
| Window | Transit over gold nakṣatras | SBC reading |
|---|---|---|
| 31 Oct – 5 Dec 2026 | Jupiter, Ketu and (from 12 Nov) Mars in Maghā | Mixed vedha on the Leo row; volatility |
| 5 Dec 2026 – 14 Aug 2027 | Ketu in Āśleṣā, next to Puṣya | Rising stress on the Puṣya square |
| 25 Jan – 26 Jun 2027 | Jupiter in Āśleṣā (Cancer) | Benefic vedha from exalted Jupiter supports gold |
| From 14 Aug 2027 | Ketu in Puṣya; Rahu in Śravaṇa | Direct node affliction of the gold nakṣatra: sharp, sudden moves |
| 2 Aug 2027 | Total solar eclipse in Puṣya | Peak SBC alert for bullion |
| Jun – Oct 2027 | Saturn in Aśvinī | Saturn vedha on the Aries row: pressure, delay |
| Piercing planet | Traditional reading for a commodity |
|---|---|
| Rahu / Ketu | Sudden, emotional moves: panic or euphoria |
| Saturn | Pressure, delay, contraction |
| Mars | Conflict, supply or policy shocks |
| Jupiter (direct) | Support, rising value |
| Jupiter (retrograde or Aticārī) | Uncertainty, trend reversal |
| Venus, Mercury, waxing Moon | Softening, trade expansion |
Kūrma Chakra: where in India gold demand and stress concentrate

In the Kūrma-vibhāga of Varāhamihira’s Bṛhat Saṃhitā (chapter 14), Bhārata is drawn as a tortoise facing east. The 27 nakṣatras are divided into nine groups of three, one for the centre and one for each of the eight directions. A planet passing through a group is read for the matching region. Editions differ slightly; the grouping below is the commonly used one.
| Division | Nakṣatras | Planets there, Nov 2026 – Oct 2027 |
|---|---|---|
| Centre (Madhya-deśa) | Kṛttikā, Rohiṇī, Mṛgaśirā | — |
| East (head) | Ārdrā, Punarvasu, Puṣya | Solar eclipse 2 Aug 2027; Ketu in Puṣya from 14 Aug 2027 |
| South-east | Āśleṣā, Maghā, Pūrvaphalgunī | Jupiter all year; Ketu (Āśleṣā) 5 Dec 2026 – 14 Aug 2027; Mars for most of Nov 2026 – Jun 2027 |
| South | Uttaraphalgunī, Hasta, Citrā | Mars Jul – Aug 2027 |
| South-west | Svātī, Viśākhā, Anurādhā | — |
| West | Jyeṣṭhā, Mūla, Pūrvāṣāḍhā | — |
| North-west | Uttarāṣāḍhā, Śravaṇa, Dhaniṣṭhā | Rahu all year; eclipses Feb, Jul, Aug 2027 |
| North | Śatabhiṣā, Pūrvabhādrapadā, Uttarabhādrapadā | Saturn until 8 Feb 2027 |
| North-east | Revatī, Aśvinī, Bharaṇī | Saturn from 8 Feb 2027 |
Reading: Jupiter, the gold significator, stays in the south-eastern group for the whole year. This points to the south-eastern and southern belt (in modern terms, broadly Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Odisha) as the region of strongest jewellery and savings demand. Rahu in the north-western group and three eclipses there point to policy, trade and price stress in the north-west, which includes the bullion hubs of Gujarat and Rajasthan and the import trade through western India. The Puṣya eclipse of 2 August and Ketu’s entry into Puṣya on 14 August 2027 fall in the eastern head, marking sudden swings in eastern markets. Modern regional mappings are approximate and should be checked against regional premium and demand data.
| Region | Example markets | Main demand factors |
|---|---|---|
| West | Mumbai, Gujarat, Rajasthan | Bullion trading, imports, wholesale premiums, policy |
| South | Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana | Jewellery and wedding demand, household savings |
| North | Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh | Wedding and festival demand, retail premiums |
| East | Kolkata, Odisha, North-East | Local premiums, logistics |
| Central | Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Nagpur | National price transmission |
Gold price outlook 2028–2033
Beyond twelve months, astrology can describe the climate but not the exact level. The ranges below start from the twelve-month forecast above and assume the long-term drivers of gold (central-bank buying, fiscal deficits, a gradually weaker rupee) stay in place. They may prove too high or too low.
| Period | Main transits | Reading | 24K India (₹ per 10 g) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nov 2027 – Feb 2028 | Jupiter enters Virgo (26 Nov 2027); Saturn back in Pisces | Steady after Diwali; earthy, practical Jupiter | ₹1,52,000 – 1,78,000 |
| 2028 | Saturn in Aries for good (Feb); Jupiter in Virgo; nodes change (~Jun) | Repricing; fiscal stress supports gold | ₹1,55,000 – 2,00,000 |
| 2029 – 2030 | Saturn in Aries until ~2030; Jupiter in Libra and Scorpio | Long accumulation phase | ₹1,70,000 – 2,30,000 |
| 2031 – 2033 | Saturn in Taurus and Gemini; Jupiter through Sagittarius to Capricorn (debilitation) | Slower rise with deep swings; Jupiter in Capricorn a caution | ₹1,90,000 – 2,80,000 |
What else moves gold: the market factors to watch with the planets
- US interest rates and real yields: gold pays no interest, so rising real yields pull money away. The December 2026 Fed decision coincides with Jupiter’s retrograde station.
- The US dollar: a stronger dollar usually weighs on gold in dollar terms.
- The rupee: Indian prices combine the international price, USD/INR, import duty, GST and local premiums. A weaker rupee raises Indian prices even when world gold is flat.
- Central-bank buying: reserve diversification has been the main long-term support for gold.
- Oil and geopolitics: wars help gold through fear but can hurt it through higher inflation and rates, which is exactly what happened in 2026.
- Indian physical demand: weddings, festivals and Akshaya Tritiya; very high prices reduce jewellery buying.
In this reading the planets mark when sentiment is likely to turn; these factors decide how far the market moves.
Practical tips for gold buyers in 2026–27
- Use weak windows (mid-December 2026 to January 2027, and September 2027) to accumulate in parts rather than buying all at once.
- Consider booking part of short-term gains in the April–May 2027 high zone.
- Keep jewellery and investment separate: making charges and resale terms reduce jewellery returns.
- Compare gold ETFs, Sovereign Gold Bonds on the secondary market, digital gold and bars for cost and liquidity.
- Track the global price and USD/INR, not only planetary dates.
- For investment decisions, consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
Frequently asked questions: gold price prediction 2027
Will gold prices go up in 2027?
In this Vedic reading, yes, but not in a straight line. Gold is likely to bottom between mid-December 2026 and mid-January 2027, rise strongly from late January to a high in April–May 2027 while Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, correct in June and swing sharply around the August eclipses. The central estimate for Diwali 2027 is near ₹1,60,000 per 10 grams.
What is the gold price prediction for December 2026?
December 2026 is read as the weakest month: Jupiter turns retrograde on 13 December, Rahu–Ketu change signs on 5 December and Kharmas begins on 16 December. The approximate range is ₹1,32,000–1,46,000 per 10 grams of 24K gold (about $3,700–4,100 an ounce).
When will gold be cheapest to buy in the next year?
The likely low zone is mid-December 2026 to mid-January 2027, with a second dip in September 2027 while Jupiter and Venus are combust.
When will gold reach its highest level in 2027?
Mid-April to mid-May 2027, when Jupiter turns direct in its exaltation sign Cancer, the Sun is exalted in Aries and Akshaya Tritiya falls on 9 May. The approximate high zone is ₹1,68,000–1,75,000 per 10 grams.
Why is Jupiter important for the gold price in astrology?
Jupiter (Bṛhaspati) is the significator of gold, wealth and treasuries in Jyotiṣa. Its sign, nakṣatra, retrograde motion and combustion are read as the main timing signals for gold.
How does the Rahu–Ketu transit of December 2026 affect gold?
Rahu in Capricorn and Ketu in Cancer from 5 December 2026 point to government debt stress and sudden swings in public sentiment. The 2 August 2027 eclipse falls in Puṣya, the nakṣatra of Bṛhaspati, and Ketu enters Puṣya on 14 August, which raises the chance of sharp gold moves in the second half of 2027.
What does the 2 August 2027 solar eclipse mean for gold?
It is a total solar eclipse in Cancer in Puṣya nakṣatra, the nakṣatra traditionally used for buying gold. In mundane astrology this is the strongest volatility signal for bullion in 2027: a spike followed by a reversal.
How does Aticārī Jupiter affect gold prices?
Aticārī means Jupiter is moving faster than normal: it enters the next sign early, turns retrograde and falls back. Because Jupiter is the planet of gold, this makes gold unstable, with sharp rallies and sudden falls near each sign change and station. In the current cycle the high-risk dates are 13 December 2026, 25 January 2027 and 26 June 2027.
Who are the Raja and Mantri of Samvat 2084?
Mercury holds both posts in Vikram Samvat 2084, which begins on 7 April 2027. It follows Samvat 2083, ruled by Jupiter as Raja and Mars as Mantri. A Mercury year favours trade, banking and digital finance.
Is Akshaya Tritiya 2027 a good day to buy gold?
Yes. Akshaya Tritiya falls on Sunday 9 May 2027, while Jupiter is direct and exalted in Cancer, one of the strongest Akshaya Tritiyas of the decade for Jupiter.
Is this gold forecast financial advice?
No. It is a Vedic mundane-astrology reading for education and research. Gold prices also depend on interest rates, the dollar, the rupee, central-bank buying and geopolitics. Consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser before investing.
Conclusion: a volatile year with a strong Jupiter
The twelve months from November 2026 to October 2027 hold the strongest Jupiter of the 2026–2033 cycle: five months in its exaltation sign Cancer, aspecting both Saturn and Rahu. That is the core of the bullish case for gold. Against it stand a retrograde Jupiter in December, Saturn’s entry into debilitation in June, a cluster of eclipses including the Puṣya eclipse of 2 August, and the combustion of both Jupiter and Venus in August–September.
Put together, the reading points to a low around December–January, a high around April–May, a corrective middle of the year and a festival recovery by Diwali 2027. Use the weak months to buy in parts, watch the dollar, rates and the rupee alongside the planets, and treat every range here as a guide, not a guarantee.
