Section 06

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enable the site's systems to recognise your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies to:

  • Understand and save your preferences for future visits
  • Keep track of advertising performance (Google AdSense)
  • Compile aggregate data about site traffic and interactions
  • Maintain shopping cart contents during your session
  • Enable social sharing features and third-party integrations

We have implemented the following Google services on our website:

  • DoubleClick Platform Integration โ€” for ad serving and conversion tracking

Section 08

Third-Party Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties for commercial purposes. This commitment is unconditional.

We do share information with the following categories of third parties, strictly to the extent necessary to operate our services:

  • Website hosting and infrastructure providers โ€” who host our website, databases and email systems under confidentiality obligations.
  • Payment processors โ€” Axis Bank, Razorpay, PayPal and UPI providers, who process your transactions. They receive transaction data under their own privacy policies and PCI-DSS compliance standards.
  • Email service providers โ€” such as FormSubmit.co and Gmail, used to deliver newsletters, consultation confirmations and communications.

No Commercial Sale of Your Data We have never and will never sell, rent or commercially trade your personally identifiable information โ€” including your birth data, consultation history or contact details โ€” to any third party for any commercial purpose.
Section 09

Third-Party Links

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer links to third-party products, services or websites on VedicSiddhanta.in. These third-party sites have their own separate and independent privacy policies.

We have no responsibility or liability for the content, privacy practices, security or activities of any linked third-party sites. We nonetheless seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these external links.

When you click a third-party link on VedicSiddhanta.in, we recommend that you review the privacy policy of that website before providing any personal information to that site.

Section 10

DPDP Act ยง12
Right to Portability
Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format so you can transfer it to another service provider if you choose.
DPDP Act ยง11

DPDP Act ยง14
How to Exercise Your Rights To exercise any of the above rights, submit a written request to support@vedicsiddhanta.in or founder@vedicsiddhanta.in with your name, email address, and a description of your request. We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request. Identity verification may be required for certain requests to protect your data.
Note on Withdrawal of Consent If you withdraw consent for processing your birth data, this will prevent us from providing or updating your astrological consultation analysis. Consultation services require birth data to function โ€” withdrawal of that consent means we cannot complete those services.
Section 11

Do Not Track (DNT)

We honour Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. When a Do Not Track mechanism is detected in your browser, we do not:

  • Track your browsing behaviour across third-party websites
  • Plant advertising cookies or personalised tracking identifiers
  • Serve behavioural advertising based on your cross-site browsing history

You can enable Do Not Track in your browser settings. Please note that while we honour DNT signals, not all third-party services embedded in our website (such as Google Analytics) honour DNT signals. You may need to opt out from those services separately (see Section 7).

Section 12

Android App Privacy

Our Android application (available as part of The Divine Codes / VedicSiddhanta platform) collects certain device permissions. The following applies:

  • SD Card / Storage Access: We request permission to access your device's storage to save data such as downloaded content and reference materials. This permission is only requested when needed and only granted with your explicit consent. We do not access any pre-existing files on your device.
  • Contact List Access: We share free digital books on the Android app (including Divine Codes publications). For downloading and saving these books, we may request permission to store them in a manner that allows easy access. Contact list permission, if requested, is used solely for this purpose and we do not read, upload or share your contacts with any third party.
  • Usage Analytics: Basic, anonymised usage analytics may be collected to improve app performance and user experience.
App Permission Principle Our Android app only requests permissions that are strictly necessary for the specific feature you are using. You may deny individual permissions โ€” this will disable only the specific feature requiring that permission, not the entire app. Permissions can be revoked at any time through your device's App Settings.
Section 13

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable Indian law:

  • Consultation data (birth details, reports, correspondence) โ€” retained for a minimum of 7 years to provide follow-up consultations and for reference, after which it is securely deleted unless you request earlier deletion.
  • Transaction records โ€” retained for 8 years in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act, 2013, and applicable tax laws.
  • Newsletter subscriptions โ€” retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Website analytics data โ€” Google Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months per Google's default settings.
  • Contact form enquiries โ€” retained for 3 years for business records purposes.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Where deletion is legally restricted (e.g. transaction records required for tax purposes), we will inform you of this limitation.

Section 14

Children's Privacy

VedicSiddhanta.in does not knowingly collect or process personal information from children under the age of 18 years. Our consultation services and content are intended for adults.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at support@vedicsiddhanta.in. We will promptly delete any such information from our records upon verification.

Consultation bookings for minors may only be made by a parent or legal guardian, who takes responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided and consents to our Privacy Policy on behalf of the minor.

Section 15

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

In accordance with CalOPPA, VedicSiddhanta.in agrees to the following:

How does our site handle Do Not Track signals? We honour DNT signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track browser mechanism is in place (see Section 11).

Does our site allow third-party behavioural tracking? We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which may involve third-party behavioural tracking. Users can opt out via the methods described in Section 7.
