Dr. Kotekal Guru Rajesh is a doctorate holder in Geology by qualification. Astrology and Art are his passions.

​Dr. Rajesh has been into the field of astrology since his teens. He contributed many articles on the subject to journals and magazines. He has published a book ‘SARFAROSH’ on naadi astrology. He believes in a judicial mixing of tradition and research as the way for the progress of the science.

Dr. Rajesh, mostly self-taught, is an artist working on different genres using different mediums. His interests include landscapes, portraits and figurative paintings, and hindu mythology. A child prodigy who started drawing and painting at an young age of about 5 years, Rajesh has been a recipient of many awards and prizes.

​Dr. Rajesh is also a trained musician in Carnatic classical music. His other interests include classical poetry in Telugu and Sanskrit.
