” When Saarthi learned that the prince had brutally treated his daughter, he reported the incident and revolted against the native. further native told me later that he saw in his journey regarding his father of that lady. While what he saw in his past journey was also very impressive, Native explained to me further that there was a general in his army in his past birth who always disobeyed his orders and always tried to put restrictions on him whenever he wanted to do something freely. From their childhood days, he used to torture him and always try to apply arm power to the native so that the native wouldn’t go anywhere at a young age, as it was the order given by the native father to that general—never leave him alone and keep an eye on him always like a guard, wherever the native goes, but the native always took this in some other direction with the motive of grudge.

In the end, it was pretty clear to declare that there are significant ties in the native previous life with the family of the person the native is married to at the present time. The only people Native mentioned to me throughout his voyage into his past lives were those that belonged to the same family as his current wife or girlfriend.

Native continued by telling me that in his previous incarnation, he had the lifestyle of a king, and that during that time he had several Patraani who were deeply in love with him; roughly ten of them were present. Now, let me explain further how everything can be seen astrologically: Native Lagana is Libra (confirming me as a person with kingly style life standards and a lover of justice, truth, and balance in current life with a taste of beauty and style). As I have already explained earlier, a native is having Malavya Yoga. He must be living lavishly with high standards in life; hence, it is proven that a native brought the same thing in his current birth too, all the habits, qualities, and attributes of his past birth.

In my last article on “Past Birth Karma,” I have already explained that the 9th house should be seen for all the Sanchit Karmas (past life) and should be taken as a seed house for past birth, which means we can take it as a reference for past birth lagana. The reason being that D60 lagana changes within a fraction of minutes, and unless and until we are confirmed with accurate birth times, we can’t make it a final varga for past life assessment. Now, for a better understanding of past birth, treat the 9th house as past birth Lagana; in the native case, Gemini Lagana should be treated as past birth Lagana.


In the native case, if we take Gemini as Lagana, Gemini will be rising, and its lord Mercury is with Venus, falling in 5th (Punya of the past). It also happens to be Laganesh in Libra, forming Malvaya yoga (luxurious and kingly style of life), Adhi yoga (a king and chief of the army), and Raja Laxmi yoga (a fortunate and higher yoga of achievements).


In the native case, both Mercury and Venus are falling in the 5th from the 9th house, which means Lagana will act as “Purva Punya Karama “for the 9th house, indicating past birth good deeds. Simply the fruits of your past birth good karmas, as both the 9th Lord and Laganesh are forming Raja Yogas in the 1st house, clearly telling me natives will enjoy king-like status and will belong from a kingly background in their current lives too because of past birth good actions and deeds.


Now, this is quite true to say, 9th lord in Lagana: a self-made man who will be known for his kinglyship; here both the planets are 5th (Punya or fruits of Punya) from the 9th house of past birth, telling natives that they will be treated as ideals in their past birth or maybe a famous person known for their great kingship, nature, and big hearts. Anything 5th from any Bhava indicates the Purva Punya of Bhava it is placed from, or the fruits you will get because of your Punyas or good deeds you have done in the past or your willingness to do good for others benefits means the native will continue to enjoy his luxurious lifestyle in this birth too, whenever Mercury and Venus Dasha periods will be operative in his life.


Moving further, the Native having Ketu in the 5th bhava, 9th from 9th house (what native actually did by which native is getting Punya to this birth or simply can be said Bhagaya or root connected with the past), 9th to 9th indicates the luck of that previous bhava.

The 5th house is actually the Purva puna ya Bhava from the Lagana, which indicates what you did in the past by being placed in the 9th house, and also the bhava of Bhakti or Pooja, or the devotion you did in the past by also indicating your strong faith in the deity. 9th to any bhava is the Bhagaya connected with the Bhava. If we look at it from the Nadi perspective, we need to regress (moving backward to previous placement to see the immediate past life of the native (Jeeva), Jupiter progression (forward) shows about Jeeva’s current life growth and regression shows about how Jeeva has gone through his previous life) the Placement of Jupiter (in 10th house) (which is currently placed in 11th house), which will go back in the native 10th house over Mangal in If the Native’s Jupiter and Moon are in a trine with Mars, and Mars is in a trine with Jupiter, it is apparent that in a prior life, he had a position of royalty.

From Jamini Angle, from Lagana Sun is Bhadhakesha Lord, being lord of the 11th house for Chara Lagna (indicating previous birth deity) is placed in the 12th house from the Lagana, bhadhakesha in the 12th house (meaning a place where natives used to do worshipping) is considered to be a good placement for bhadhaka among all placements of bhadhaka in the natal chart for removal of all troubles, also indicates that the native was a devotee of Lord Shiva (Sun – Shiva).

Atamakarka lord (5th lord Saturn) is placed in the 11th house in Bhadhaka House with 3rd and 6th lord Jupiter (who is the 10th lord from the 9th house, indicating what Karama you have done in past birth), with 5th lord Rahu clearly indicating the disturbance happening or even happening in Bhakti at the place of worshipping in the past.


12th from Bhadkesha Lord Sun having Jupiter (6th Lord), Saturn (5th Lord), and Rahu (5th Lord) means something bad happened in the place of native worshipping in the past, which is resulting in suffering in current birth and anger to worshipping deity “Lord Shiva”; Moreover, with 3 planets placed in the bhadhaka house, the placement of Saturn and Rahu also happened to be in the 12th house from the Bhadkesha Lord Sun, further showing mismanagement (Saturn) or some sort of disastrous (Rahu) happened in the place of worshipping with Jupiter (event is something related to devotion, in the sign of eo-Bhakti).


Further, Jupiter is the 6th lord and is also placed in the 6th from the 6th house (punishment of the praradbha), and the 11th is also the 6th from the 6th, which means punishment of the diety as a result of karma you have done in the past, clearly telling me what action the native did in his past birth.

If we see the root cause, Jupiter also happens to be the lord of the 3rd house, which is also further placed in the 11th house, falling from the 9th to the 3rd, further confirming the past birth Karma phala (action). This shows the native had done something bad in the place of worship by beating that lady, and as a result, a lady came into his family in the form of his spouse (shows Rinna of past life) just to take revenge and realise suffering to the native, which is what all natives had faced after marriage, and all these sufferings are counted as a result of Native Praradbha Karam.

All the suffering that the native gave to the lady came to him as a matter of his bad deeds because of his uncontrolled anger. This clearly shows the whole matter was connected with the place of worshipping in past birth, and the involvement of the 3rd lord (arms, courage, and power) and the 6th lord Jupiter (suffering, debit, and Praradbha karma) confirms the actions in the past.

Hence, it is proved that past birth does come in the same way; maybe later, but it will come back to you to realise what you have done as a result of your Prarabhdha karma. All three planets are also placed in the 11th house, also indicating desires from the past, and also in the house of Bhadhakasthan (Karka of Root Desire—Rahu is there in Leo—indicating root reason of past birth—Disturbance in Bhakti (Sign of 5th Leo)) with 6th Lord Jupiter and Saturn, which signifies that whenever Rahu, Saturn, and Jupiter Dasha period will be operative, Native may face lots of unknown hurdles in its life because of his past birth bad deeds, or you can say praradbha karma.

This actually started after the Rahu Mahadasha period in 2009, when the native started facing sudden problems in his life in the same Antar Dasha period. Native lost everything because of his past deeds or actions done to him unintentionally.
It was not the native dire intention to hurt that lady, but it happened because of his controlled anger, which further shows the unhappiness and anger of Lord Shiva (Rudra) in the form of miseries in this birth. Lord Shiva is considered the Serpent God, and Rahu is the ruler of the serpents and Bhadha, which further shows the Rahu Dasha period would be the main root dasha for triggering these life sufferings in his current life. Placement and the Dasha period of the Rahu are clearly telling about the root reason for past birth desires.
When I further inquired with Native about that lady regarding his brutal action in his last birth after the regression therapy, Native reported to me that he was doing a great sadhana of Lord Shiva in the jungle, in an isolated place in a dense jungle. He left everything just for the love of Lord Shiva with his single leg, and he was very happy as the sadhana was about to complete or end soon when suddenly he felt someone push him forward, and he lost all his control and his penance got broke.
It was a major break in his sadhana, which influenced native anger. As a result, the native brutally beat that lady to a state of death, and now the native is facing suffering and misery on account of the same in his current birth.
Further Native told me he was very courageous as well as brave and violent in his nature, having a straight-forward approach to everything in his life.

It is quite easy to understand in this life, too. Mars is at his debilitation point in the 10th house in the sign of cancer, having an exchange with the moon, and Mars is giving the result of the sign aries as well (showing native courage and valor). He is also falling into the 2nd house (speech) from the 9th house. Further, Rahu, Saturn, and Jupiter also fall in the 3rd house from the 9th house (indicating bravery and courage) in his past lives, and it’s also another reason for rebirth because of his killing and brutality towards others.

Native also reported to me that from the beginning of his past birth, it was his dire desire to go to a place near water. He had a great love for water and a passion for ocean travel. As a result of his strong past desire, Native travelled across the world via ships and air mediums via his merchant navy profession (water travel is seen from the signs cancer and moon, and air travel is seen from the airy signs Rahu).

The Moon’s placement in the 7th house of the Aries sign and the 7th Lord Mars’ placement in the 10th house of the water sign, both of which clearly demonstrate a great passion for water and the oceans, have confirmed this. Both Moon and Mars are in 4/10 relationships and will also be in exchange yoga with each other, with the 7th and 10th exchange falling in the 11th house from the 9th house (past birth desire), indicating gain via travelling in the ocean in this birth as a result of the past desire.
Native further told me that he had 11 queens in his past life, and again, it was true, as further confirmed while discussing with Native. Wherever a native went to any country, he was having relationships with women, and all the women have always shown so much love towards him, which actually appeared like a relationship with the spouse. The fact that Mercury and Venus are in the first house and are aspecting the seventh house—a strong desire from a previous birth—and that the seventh lord is associated with the tenth lord, who also exhibits Jara Yoga and has multiple relationships in the present life, confirms this.


Therefore, it is rather clear to claim that the processes of previous lives and incarnations have had a larger role in this current birth and suffering. This conclusion can be drawn from the case study that was just presented. I am expecting that now people can comprehend how to use past-life astrological principles with current birth sufferings, which I have mentioned above via native horoscopes and the past-life regression process of natives. I have explained this information via native horoscopes and the past-life regression process of natives. In the future, I plan to do additional case studies on former life astrology principles in order to provide users with a deeper comprehension of their own past lives.

The Bhagavad-gita serves as a primary source for acquiring foundational knowledge regarding the concept of Reincarnation, Karma and the Past life clues.

In the second chapter, Bhagwan Krishna elucidates the process by which the soul transmigrates from one physical form to another in a logical, straightforward, and comprehensible manner. This fact does not rely on subjective belief but may be comprehended and accepted through logical reasoning. In order to comprehend the concept of reincarnation, it is essential to possess a clear grasp of the distinction between the physical body and the metaphysical essence sometimes referred to as the soul.

Below are the quotes from the Bhagavad Gita that elucidate the true meaning of the soul and reincarnations:

“That which pervades the entire body you should know to be indestructible. No one is able to destroy that imperishable soul. ” (Bhagavad Gita 2.17)

“For the soul there is neither birth nor death at any time. He has not come into being, does not come into being, and will not come into being. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain.” (Bhagavad Gita 2.20)

The soul can never be cut to pieces by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind.(Bhagavad Gita 2.23)

While the essence of the soul surpasses the boundaries of quantifiable material interactions, its existence can be apprehended through the utilization of the subsequent illustration. According to the text, the living being within the body, similar to the sun’s illumination of the universe, illuminates the entire body through consciousness.

According to the Bhagavad Gita verse 13.34,

“O son of Bharata, as the sun alone illuminates all this universe, so does the living entity, one within the body, illuminate the entire body by consciousness.” (Bhagavad Gita 13.34)

Meaning : 

There exist multiple ideas pertaining to the concept of consciousness. In the Bhagavad-gita, an analogy is presented to illustrate the relationship between the sun and its radiance. Similar to how the sun, despite being located in a fixed position, radiates light throughout the entire cosmos, the soul, a minute spiritual being, while placed within the heart of the physical body, illuminates the entirety of the body through consciousness.

Consequently, consciousness serves as evidence for the existence of the soul, analogous to how sunlight or light serves as evidence for the presence of the sun. The presence of the soul within the corporeal form engenders a state of awareness that permeates the entirety of the body. Conversely, upon the departure of the soul from the physical vessel, consciousness ceases to exist. This concept can be comprehended readily by individuals possessing a high level of cognitive ability.

Hence, it can be argued that awareness does not arise as a result of the amalgamation of material components. It represents a characteristic displayed by an organism. The consciousness of an individual, while sharing qualitative similarities with the ultimate consciousness, does not possess the same level of supremacy. This is due to the fact that the consciousness of a specific body is not interconnected with the consciousness of another body.

However, the supersoul, which is present within all bodies as a companion to the individual soul, possesses awareness of all bodies. The distinction lies in the contrast between ultimate consciousness and individual consciousness. (Purport, Srila Prabhupada) 

Reincarnation is a phenomenon characterized by the continuous transmigration of the soul into different corporeal forms. However, within Western cultural contexts, the term reincarnation predominantly denotes the ultimate transition of the soul into a novel physical vessel.

To understand in a better way, lets understand furthermore on its deep meaning from the bhagavata Gita chapter 8th, 6th verse on incarnations :

In the Eighth Chapter Sixth Verse Lord Krishna says:

yaṁ yaṁ vāpi smaran bhāvaṁ
tyajaty ante kalevaram
taṁ tam evaiti kaunteya
sadā tad-bhāva-bhāvitaḥ
“Whatever state of being one remembers when he quits his body, that state he will attain without fail “
Explanation  given by Prabhupada : 
“This quote explains the mechanism through which a person’s nature can shift at the crucial moment right before they die. How is it that one can pass away with their mind in the right place? Because Maharja Bharata was thinking about a deer at the time of his death, he was reincarnated as a deer when he passed away. However, even as a deer, Maharja Bharata was able to remember the things he had done in the past. Naturally, the effect that one’s thoughts and deeds have had on one another over the course of their life will have an influence on their thinking at the time of their death; hence, one’s acts in this life will decide their future state of being. If one becomes transcendentally engaged in Ka’s service, then his next body will not be physical but rather transcendental (spiritual). Therefore, reciting the mantra Hare Ka is the most effective method for bringing about a change in one’s state of being that will result in transcendental life.

Hence we can conclude that, From the profound words shared above, we gain insight into the clear interconnection between our past experiences and our present existence, manifested as karmic imprints. This understanding serves as the foundation for comprehending the profound wisdom encapsulated in the quote about the soul and the body, as elucidated in Chapter 2 of the esteemed Bhagawad Gita.

Lord Sri Krishna said in ‘The Bhagavad Gita’,

" vasamsi jirnani yatha vihaya navani grhnati naro 
'paranitatha sarirani vihaya jirnany anyani samyati navani dehi "

Meaning :

As a man throws away worn-out clothes and replaces them with new ones, so the dweller in the body throws away worn-out bodies and enters into others that are new.” Additionally, he has been quoted as saying, “The sins we committed in our previous lives come back to haunt us in the form of illnesses or ailments.”

Explanation Given By Yogananda in the above Verse :

Lord Shiri Krishna preaching to Arjuna in Chapter 2 | Samkhya Yoga | Verse 22

Whenever there is a need to do so, we remove our worn and/or soiled clothing and replace it with fresh and/or unworn clothing as we go about our everyday lives. In a same manner, the soul, also known as the atman, will eventually shed its old, worn-out physical body and move into a more recent physical body at predetermined intervals during the course of time. The state of our physical body, which degrades with the passage of time and is therefore ephemeral, does not accurately represent the actually unchanging and permanent nature of the soul that sits within it. This is true in the same way that the clothing that we wear do not accurately represent the real state of our physical body.
The eternal does not travel from one location to another, but the soul that is embodied does so, going from one body to another. Each time, it gives birth to itself and builds a mind, a life, and a body for itself out of the components of nature, in accordance with its previous evolution and the requirements it will have in the years to come. The vijnana is the psychic being, and it is responsible for sustaining the threefold manifestation of body, life, and mind. When the gross physical body is no longer present, the vital and mental sheaths will still be present to serve as the vehicle for the soul. The cycle of life always begins again. There is a literal link that can be drawn between all of the many types of life. “A mortal matures like corn, and like corn, he is reborn over and over again.

(Katha Upanisad, Ch 1, verse 6).

This passage makes reference to the concept of rebirth, which is central to the Hindu religious tradition. In this passage, death is analogized to the process of replacing an old, worn-out clothing with a brand-new one. When a disease takes hold of the body and it reaches old age, the immortal soul abandons the body in favour of a new form. Simply put, death is nothing more than an alteration of one’s appearance inside the unbroken flow of eternity.

Another Verse also explains about Soul strength, Death, and Reincarnation,

Lord Shiri Krishna preaching to Arjuna in Chapter 2 | Samkhya Yoga | Verse 23

नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः।
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः।।
Shaloka 23, chapter 2 Explanation:

The so-called atman ( Soul ) is immune to harm from weapons, and due to the fact that it lacks both form and shape, it is not possible for any tool to sever it into smaller parts. In the same way, fire is unable to cause it to burn or be destroyed. Because it can only operate on things that have a physical description or dimension, water is unable to wet it. Water can only act on things that have a physical description or dimension. Wind is unable to either dry it out or apply any kind of force on it for the same reason. Therefore, the atman is immune to the effects of the three fundamental forces—fire, water, and wind—any of which are able to have an impact on entities that have a physical form and can be described.

अच्छेद्योऽयमदाह्योऽयमक्लेद्योऽशोष्य ऐव च।
नित्यः सर्वगतः स्थाणुरचलोऽयं सनातनः।।
Shaloka 24, chapter 2 Explanation:

The atman, dear seeker, is impervious to the forces of cutting, burning, decay, and drying out. The five forces of nature, known for their immense power to dismantle physical elements through their synergistic actions, hold no sway over the aatman. It is often called nitya, for it embodies the essence of permanence and unchangeability. The state of permanence bestows upon it the profound abilities of omnipresence, omniscience, and unwavering stability. Behold the profound essence of stability that permeates this very existence, for it is this unwavering quality that bestows upon it the divine attribute of immovability. The eternal self, known as the aatman, is aptly hailed as Sanatana, a term synonymous with the ancient and timeless path of Hinduism, also known as Sanatana dharma. Ah, dear seeker of wisdom, allow me to enlighten you on the profound meaning of Sanatana. It is a sacred term that embodies the essence of existence itself, for it signifies that which transcends the boundaries of creation and destruction, existing eternally in the realm of time immemorial.

तस्मादेवं विदित्वैनं नानुशोचितुमहर्सि।।

Shaloka 25, chapter 2 Explanation:
The essence of the atman eludes mere comprehension and transcendence through the limited faculties of the cerebral realm. Therefore, it is recognised as ‘avyakta’ or indescribable – that which transcends the limitations of language and cannot be captured in mere words. The essence of ‘achintya’ lies beyond the realm of mere meditation or contemplation (‘chintan’). In the realm of ‘chintan’, true understanding is reserved solely for those entities that are within the grasp of our five senses.
जातस्य हि ध्रुवो मृत्युर्ध्रुवं जन्म मृतस्य च।
तस्मादपरिहार्येऽर्थे न त्वं शोचितुमहर्सि।।

Shaloka 27, chapter 2 Explanation:
For one who has taken birth, death is certain and for one who has died, birth is certain. Therefore in an inevitable situation, understanding should prevail.

Conclusion :

The reiteration of life’s cycles is made abundantly plain in this final lyric. Both birth and death are inevitable parts of the human experience. In the autumn, the leaves become vibrant shades of red, yellow, and orange before falling to the ground and going dormant until the following year.

This cycle repeats itself every year, beginning with the growth of new buds in the spring, which then develop into flowers and leaves in the summer. Finally, in the autumn, the leaves turn fiery colours such as red, yellow, and orange before falling to the ground. In a similar manner, the soul joins new bodies during its stages of childhood, adolescence, maturity, and old age.

At the conclusion of its cycle of life, the soul is reborn and accepts a new body to use for the next phase of its existence. This is an unavoidable process that occurs throughout material existence; it is also the mechanism that determines the natural order of birth and death. This reality is perfectly followed by every entity that has ever been in the material manifestation.

This makes it abundantly evident what is carried over from life to life by the soul: Karama and the memory of how it was connected in each and every birth, regardless of whether the soul lives through another cycle on the material plane or not. This is another evidence that the soul is immortal and that it is always connected to the actions that it performs. Native was a student who performed about average in his classes, but he had an excellent and sharp memory that enabled him to solve difficult puzzles and technical scenarios in any live sailing with his presence of mind. While the members of the family were going through the tormenting phase as a result of the spouse’s personal matter of revenge and unethical behaviour towards them, the police department further began doing their extra-threatening work in order to create a situation or environment of fear among the whole family.

Finally, with the beginning of the first phase (Rahu PD) in Rahu Mahadasha approximately in December 2009, the native was forced to leave his ship because he was unsuccessful in renewing the visa and passport in time due to some financial and unknown reasons (Rahu in the Bhadhak Sthan in the 11th house conjoined with 5th Lord Saturn and 3rd Lord Jupiter).

He decided further that he should move back to India for some relief and take help from his brother for some Once more, the hand of fate was at work not long after the event described above. Because the native was absent from all of the court hearings for an entire year, the case took on a very dangerous tone during that time. This was due to the fact that the native was not present for any of the hearings during that time.

The court reached a decision and declared him a fugitive; as a result, he will be required to serve a sentence or make an appearance in court for further clarification and penalties whenever and wherever he will be seen or found in India.

The native was once again thrown into a state of shock as a result of the decision made by the court. In the deep dilemmas of his life, where one must think deeply and he is left with no clue in his hand, it was more like a state of zero, and every corner was seen as the dark side of life. In this situation, one has no other choice but to think about what to do next, where to go, and how to proceed in life in a better way.

Native made the decision to remain on the opposite side of India, and he began living with the sister of his cousin. He also frequently used to live with his friend. The native’s primary preoccupation was finding a way to secure both his professional and financial futures, as he was actively seeking out a variety of employment opportunities that he was qualified for.

During this time, Native made the decision to renew his passport and visa in India; however, once again, the dots of his destiny and Prarabdha played their roles, and he ended up losing his passport in a sense; no one is sure where he left it all. It was yet another setback and a startling realisation for him at that moment. Because of this, he was completely perplexed about what action to take next.

Native was trying very hard to approach some of his friends for assistance, for the purpose of obtaining any links or clues to get settled in India; however, his friends’ behaviour was a bit unusual and different towards him, and Native felt cheated from his inner core by those whom once looked very needy to get jobs in the Merchant Navy sector;

Native had always forwarded his hands in their hard times and given them as much as helping hands, like when you feel like an angel appears suddenly in a situation in which you are struggling; But in this scenario, things were a little bit different; friends were more likely to appear to be enemies, or it can be said that they were acting like devils in darkness, appearing as though they were wearing a devil advocate coat with a friendly face. They did not offer any assistance to him and flatly refused to do so, acting in accordance with the double standard that is typically upheld by society in times of crisis.

In the meantime, when I returned to my hometown after being away for a few months, my native brother approached me and continued to contact me in order to explain his entire mystery, which was the story of various traumas and shocks that had occurred to members of their family.

Dridha Karma refers to a category of karma that encompasses the predestined and unalterable actions that individuals have accrued from their previous incarnations. The phenomenon in question is commonly denoted as “fate” or “destiny.” The concept of “dridha karma” posits that certain aspects of an individual’s existence, including their birth family, physical appearance, and key life events, are predetermined and unchangeable.

Adridha karma, alternatively referred to as “modifiable karma,” pertains to the activities that are subject to modification or alteration within the context of our current lifetimes. In contrast to dridha karma, adridha karma affords individuals the capacity to exercise agency and alter the trajectory of their fate. The phenomenon is subject to the influence of our volitional agency and deliberate choices.

Kriyamana Karma, also known as current karma, pertains to the actions that are promptly executed in one’s present existence. The aforementioned activities are a manifestation of our capacity for autonomous decision-making and are likely to exert influence on our forthcoming encounters. Kriyamana karma is regarded as the collective result of both constructive and destructive actions in which individuals partake over the course of their lives.

Sanchit Karma refers to the collective accumulation of all activities, encompassing both positive and negative deeds, that an individual has amassed throughout successive incarnations. The concept can be understood as a reservoir of karma that exerts impact on both our present existence and subsequent rebirths. The concept of Sanchit karma posits that actions and their consequences are thought to persist across multiple lifetimes until they are adequately addressed or harmonised.

Prarabdha karma pertains to the segment of sanchit karma that is deliberately selected for manifestation during the present incarnation. The term “karma” refers to a subset of accumulated actions that have reached a state of maturation and are poised to emerge in the current incarnation. Prarabdha karma is responsible for determining the significant life events, obstacles, and prospects that individuals meet throughout their current existence.

Agami Karma pertains to the forthcoming outcomes that arise from our present activities. The concept of karma pertains to the accumulation of actions and their subsequent consequences, which individuals generate in their current existence and will encounter in subsequent rebirths. The concept of agami karma is believed to be influenced by the decisions and acts individuals make in the current moment, ultimately affecting their destiny in future incarnations.

Gaining a comprehensive comprehension of the various forms of karma within the realm of Vedic astrology offers profound insights into the intricate nature of human existence and the intricate dynamics between determinism and personal agency. While certain elements of human existence may be predestined, individuals possess the agency to exercise deliberate decision-making and actively influence their own futures by their choices and behaviours.

These karmas continue to bloom in the dreamlike world or in an imaginary world, and they are constantly busy crafting stories that have no connection with the practical or real world. These stories are founded on our unfinished aspirations, logics that we have left for the future, and those hidden means and motives that we have never been able to bring to fruition.

In this context, Mercury (representing the brain) and the Moon (representing the mind) are important manipulators for the construction of those imagined Mansik Karma or “Mana’s “. If we perceive something fictitious in Deep prospects, it’s likely due to karmic debts and an unbalanced flow of energy through the Vishudhi chakra we manifest those mansik karma’s. Purification is the purpose of the Visudhi chakra role, and it is intended to take place not only on the level of the body, but also on the levels of the psyche and the mind. All of the terrible events that we have pushed to the back of our minds throughout our lives will remain there until we confront them head on and find a way to make peace with them using more mature insight. In the event that this Chakra has not been developed to its full potential or is in an imbalanced state, the native may struggle with a variety of issues pertaining to the mind.

When any of us get afflicted via the nodes (Rahu/Ketu, Mars, and Saturn), we produce those evil karmas in the physical world.

Those are the thoughts that never leave my head. A spark is set off in our day-to-day lives as a result of our five senses’ speculation for the manifestation of hidden desires. These hidden desires take the form of manipulative acts, and the spark is set off by our five senses. These are the cravings that are constantly being reborn in our minds as a result of a small number of thoughts, and we either make an effort to satisfy them or we become dissatisfied by them.

Those karmas that are somewhere hidden in the mind and are working hard to take a form on a physical level or in the physical world for the manifestation of desires based on some action plan are referred to as Sub-conscious-based karmas. This term refers to all those future thoughts that keep taking birth in our Sub-conscious plane.

“Mana is the main culprit as well as a boon too and is classified in the top level overall 5 senses for accountability in evil and Good Karmas,” states the Karama Theory of the Bhagwat Geeta.

Mercury, which turns those ideas into some logic and yields some planning and acts, is the subpart of Mana-based karma. Mercury is responsible for intelligent action-oriented karma based on some logic, computations, and mathematical equations that are fired from the Vishudhi Chakra. Mana exerts a significant amount of impact over the functioning of the brain, which in turn controls all of these senses.

If Mercury is afflicted in a chart, it will give birth to an evil logical approach in actions; however, if it is beneficially placed in any Dharma Kona (1, 5, and 9th houses) or gets aspects from the Sun and Jupiter, it will uplift the dharma and those actions in a fruitful manner for the cause of society.

In other words, if Mercury is afflicted in a chart, it will give birth to an evil logical approach in actions. Mercury, or the brain, will eventually rule over all of those five senses, and it will serve as an indicator of the greater intelligence of Gyaani, as described in the Bhagavad Gita. This will take place in the distant future. A person will live their life in accordance with Gyan Yoga.

Actions or outcomes that are determined by one’s wants are the forms that karma takes when it is carried out on the conscious and the sub-conscious levels of existence. The aggregated effects, also known as the “fruits” of acts, are referred to as Karma-Phala (Sanskrit for “fruit of Karma”).

Karma, Navamsa and Relationships


The Navamsa Chart, also known as the Dharm-Amsa (D9), is seen as the fructification of karmas (both subconscious and conscious karmas) in the context of the Astrological Language. The Dharma-amsa provides hints and information regarding the strength of karma, which can be used to verify the fruition of any Raaj or Raja yoga practise.

This is the primary reason why we regard the fructification of Marriage from D9 as a dharma related with marriage bonding; the dharma of Marriage is having legal children, fulfilling our religious and societal duties, and elevating it mutually, all of which are important to grow for both the individual and his or her kula (family). Dharma imparts insight and illuminates the way to conduct oneself in the most morally sound manner.

The affliction of any planet in the D9 chart reveals in what domain you are practising dharma or what you are not following, which is not in accordance with dharma or the righteous principles of the Almighty. Additionally, the affliction may indicate what you are not following, which is not in accordance with dharma.

Kids are the products of marriage, and if Venus is afflicted in the D9 chart for both males and females, then signifies that something illegitimate is happening in a relationship or in the sphere of Venus, i.e., Marriage or w.r.t. women. Kids are the fruits of marriage. Either the native is violating the rights of women in some way, or he or she is engaging in sexual behaviour that is not permitted outside of the context of marriage. Both of these scenarios are unethical.

Someone I know has Venus in the second house of the D9 chart, which is aspected by Mars and Rahu. This person used to have illicit connections with women in order to gratify their senses, which, in the end, would undoubtedly destroy the properties that Venus possesses in the D1 chart.

Venus (in a retrograde state; having unwanted desires to fall in love) rules the 5th house in the D1 chart of a native, despite the fact that it is located in the 12th house. I was fairly certain that it would lead to a delay in his happiness via marriage (happiness through marriage leads to kids; the 5th house is falling into the 11th house from the 7th house; this shows the fruits or product of marriage or gain via marriage). In this particular scenario, the native was unable to complete his studies for his master’s degree, his spouse experienced miscarriage of their first child before it was born, and both couples do not have a particularly healthy relationship in marriage.

Therefore, the affliction of any planet in the D9 chart will offer you a hint as to how Adharma is happening around you, which can result in a crisis in marriage, a poor relationship with Women, a problem with your wife, and a reduction in Results in the house in which Venus is having lordship in D1.

According to the spiritual truth or reality, marriage is the result of the Sanchita and Prarabdha Karmas that each of us has completed in previous incarnations. Based on those karmas, either we used to enjoy those ties or we realised or suffered because of those relations as a result of actions or bad deeds from the past. Marriage will be extremely successful for you if you have a history of excellent karma in previous lives; this outcome may be verified using the D9 chart as well.

Venus (in male charts) and Jupiter and Mars (in female charts) will be unaffected by any nodal affliction when viewed through the lens of the d9 chart. In your present birth chart, the 6th House and 6th Lord in D1 will generally try to hinder marriage relationship maturity, and any afflicted nodes will always try to upset the marriage in your current life if you have done anything evil to any men or women in past lives. If you have done anything harmful to men or women in past lives, the 6th House and 6th Lord in D1 will try to obstruct marriage relationship maturity.

Whenever it makes any relationship or influences the 7th house, 7th Lord, UL (Uppada Lagana) or A7 (Darapada) in the d1 chart and other marriage-supporting houses, natives either will face delays in the marriages or, if somehow natives fall in relation to love or close bonding, the relationship will be like a path of cactus or the level of suffering in that relationship will be intense or severe.

If AK is deeply afflicted by nodes, is in some way connected with Suffering houses, or has some relationship with either Venus, UL, or A7 Arudha, then either relationships and marriage will be difficult to handle and can fail very quickly, or the level of suffering will be very intense and unbearable for that soul. This is something that I have seen in many of the cases where I have looked into this, and it has been my experience.

The only goal is to learn the lesson of one’s soul from past karmas by experiencing the same kinds of sufferings that one has caused for other people. Karma’s job is to ensure that the soul is constantly aware of its actions and to filter out those that prevent it from experiencing greater progress in the present incarnation. Because of those pains, there is a possibility that some souls will perish, while other souls will use them to forge a fresh start along the spiritual road.

This can also be verified by consulting the D9 chart, specifically the strength of Ak (Atmakarka). If Ak is strongly conjugated with nodes or malefic planets, or if it is debilitated situated in trik Bhavas from Lagana of D9, it is a definite indication that the level of soul suffering will be extreme, and it also suggests that one will have to suffer greatly in this incarnation as a consequence of past sins. As Ak is weakly situated and weakened, there is also the possibility that the native could either fall back or rise above on a spiritual level. This is due to the fact that Atmakarka is main planet that rules your whole in definitive actions of life.

Debilitation of Ak is always a situation of the fallen soul due to one’s own actions in this life; while one may rise materially, it may be difficult for him to lift his soul from Tamasik Parvarti, or Tamas would be part of his life. This could be a difficult situation for him in the later part of life, not initially in the beginning, but when one’s soul consciousness grows or gets mature and when the progression of Saturn, Jupiter, and Rahu/Ketu’s 2nd cycle begins in the native, he will realise his past life actions.

The native has a very obvious decision to make regarding what he wants to achieve as a result of that suffering: either rise above it or fall further into it. This obviously shows that one is required to pay back its karma in any way, either in this incarnation or in the next birth, either in this birth or in the next birth, if somehow the native could take it forward to the next birth with the blessings and assistance of the seers, saints, gurus, and divine spirits. obviously, this says that one must pay back its karma in some manner.

When we investigate further, we find that Sanchit Karama is primarily used to classify good karmas on a broad level. “What you do has to have repercussions and effects on our surrounds. Put another way, “As you sow, so shall you reap.” “Life is an infinite chain of results of deeds (Karma) in the past that work on the premise of “the law of Cause and Effect.” This is also true in physics and actual reality.”  The process by which the consequences of karma are meted out is referred to as the “Law of Karma.” This law is governed by Lord Saturn, whose role it is to either punish or impart and teach the valuable lessons of life.

Our Scriptures has mentioned various such doshas that are mentioned in BPHS. Though in the current article we will not discuss reasons for curses or debts. our motive is to decode the reasons for pending karmas by various techniques via natal chart. some of those doshas or curses mentioned in BPHS are as mentioned below :

1) Curses of snakes: This curse is indicated by the placement and strength of the Rahu in the natal chart. Effects of this curse give childlessness, fear from snakes and snake bites. This curse originates due to the killing of snakes in past lives. Root house for this curse is to been seen from the 5th house.

1) Curses of father: This curse is indicated by the placement and strength of the Sun in the horoscope which gets triggered in the natal chart due to wrongs done to father or due to the suffering of souls of forefathers. It gives issues of childlessness, uneasy relationships with father in the current life, untimely death of father and lack of happiness from father. To understand this curse or debt one has to see 5th, 9th and 10th house.

3) Curses of mother: This curse is indicated by the placement and strength of the Moon in the natal chart. This may happen due to ill-treatment with mother in past life. It gives issues of childlessness, problematic relationship with mother in the current life, unhappiness from mother, the untimely death of the mother. We have to see the Influences on the 4th, 5th house and moon with nodes to understand the curse.

4) Curses of brother: According to the Vedic astrology this curse has to be seen from the placement and strength or weakness of mars and Jupiter.whereas for younger brother planet Mars has to be seen and Jupiter for elder brother.Though in Nadi we see elder brother via Saturn. It gives problem in childlessness, difficult relationship with brothers, problems from brothers and lack of cordial relations with brother. To understand the curse we need to decode the placement of 3rd, 11th and 5th house along with affliction on Mars and Jupiter either via nodes or via Saturn.

5) Curses of maternal relations: For maternal relations, we need to check affliction on mercury and Saturn. It will give difficult relationship with maternal relations and we need to check affliction on 5th house and mercury, Saturn.

6) Curses of Spiritual Persons: To see curse of spiritual person we need to see affliction on Jupiter. It majorly gives problem in childlessness, problems from teachers, unhappiness, slow growth in life, stuck life, and general dissatisfaction in life, etc. We need to see the affliction on the 9th and 5th house along with Jupiter and their lordship condition.

7) Curses of the wife (or women): To see the curse or debt from females or wife one has to see the condition of the planet Venus. Any affliction on the planet venus via Nodes, Saturn or mars have majorly seen for the activation of the curse. The placement of Venus in the natal and divisional chart is important to understand the curse. It majorly gives effect problem in childlessness, difficulty in getting married, problems from wife or women, the possibility of divorce, defamation from women, etc. The most important house to be considered is the 7th house/lord.

8) Curses of Evil spirits: To see curse from the evil Spirits we need to see the planetary placement of the Rahu and Ketu in the natal chart. Generally, Role of the Nodes and Bhadhaka Graha, their lord and placement have key roles in identifying the curse from the evil spirits. It gives major problem in mental setup of the native, it gives fear from unknown and majorly fear of ghosts. we need to see the conditions of Moon, Saturn, the 5th house and the fifth lord in the natal chart along with Bhadhaka Graha and lord.

Explanation Given By Yogananda on the above Verse :

During our daily lives, we change our old and/or dirty clothes and put on new and/or clean clothes whenever the need arises. Similarly, the soul or atman casts off its worn-out physical body and takes residence in a newer physical body at regular intervals in time. Just like the clothes that we wear do not represent the real state of our physical body, the state of our physical body (which deteriorates over time and is hence impermanent) does not represent the truly unchangeable and permanent nature of the soul that resides within it.

The eternal does not move from place to place but the embodied soul moves from one abode to another. It takes birth each time and gathers to itself a mind, life and body formed out of the materials of nature according to its past evolution, karma, deed and its needs for the future. The psychic being is the vijnana which supports the triple manifestation of the body, life, and mind. When the gross physical body falls away, the vital and mental sheaths still remain as the vehicle of the soul. Rebirth is the law of nature. There is an objective connection between the various forms of life. “Like corn, a mortal ripens and like corn is he born again”.

Technique 1 :

A) Check the number of Retrograde planets in the Natal chart:  Look for the presence of a number of retrograde planets in the chart. Total number of Presence of Retrograde planets in the Natal chart shows how many pending karmas one has to exhaust in this birth. More the Retrograde planets more the total pending karmas one has to finish in this life i.e if one has a presence of 3 retrograde planets, then it means one has accumulated 3 pending karmas from many of the past journies. Each of the Retrograde planet shows, karma connected with the karakas of the planets. To see what exactly the karma is pending with the native, check the placement of the Retrograde planets in the natal chart, check, in which sign planet is placed and how many planets are aspecting it. Sign shows sufferings or delays may face in this birth and aspects show via whom you may face such hurdles, difficulties, and hurdles in this life. Dispositer lord placement of the Retrograde planet in the natal chart shows what you need to do in this life in order to fix the pending karma. To see what exactly is the pending karma retrograde planet is indicating that one has to finish in this birth or giving a clue for certain area of life, check its 12th house placement from the retrograde planet, that house placement will show the area where one has to experience the pending karma that one has to finish. for e.g if one has retrograde planet placed in the 9th house then it means pending karma is either with the guru, teacher or father and one has to experience it in this life via 8th house matter which is the 12th house placement from the 9th. 8th shows sufferings, health issues, hurdles and unknown troubles in life. now let us understand more by different planetary examples how we can judge it :
1) If Mars is retrograde, and if it is connected with the Lagna or trik Bhavas ( i.e 6th, 8th or 12th house/lord) – There will be intense Pending karmas connected with Brothers, enemies, Husband ( In Nadi), fights, Legal battles, Land, Houses, War, bravery, Kings, and Kshatriya etc. To see what exactly the karma is pending with, check the placement of the Retrograde mars in which sign and how many planets are aspecting it.
2) If Saturn is Retrograde – and if it is connected with the Lagna and trik bhavas – Then there will be deep Pending Karmas connected one’s own action in the society i,e with Karam, Actions, work, Career, debts, sins, deeds, workers, social circle, Society, Land, agriculture, and Mass, etc.
3) If Jupiter is Retrograde – then one has Pending Karmas connected with the Spiritual Guru, teacher or father he has met in the past life, or it is with the Teacher, Knowledge he has learned in past, or it is connected with one’s Learning, or there might be a karma connected with the Brahmin, Gurukul and it is the karma given by the god to finish it in this life etc. if it is connected to the trik bhavas then one has to Experience it in any case via serving people. If it is connected with the Upachaya and Dharma Bhavas then one may get success via it and one will do service to the people in the right manner for uplifting own self and other also.
4) If it is Venus – then one has pending karma connected with his wife, sister, relationships and one has to give to his Wife, Spouse, Girlfriend, elder sister and one may face hardships or some karmic debt or pending karma with respect to Relationships, wealth, luxury and majorly with the wife or lover he or she may face or experience. If the conjunction is with Sun, Nodes, Mars and Saturn, AK then the Severity would be intense and it can give hard lessons in relationships or marriage. Many a case it gives hardships, struggles in Wealth, Luxury and comfort matters. Even it gives an indication with the concerned people those are connected with the karka of Venus i.e sister in law etc. Start of pending karma depends on the Lordship of the venus in Natal chart Mool trikona rashi, that house shows the event that can trigger the past karma i,e if Venus is lord of 9th house ( then event trigger after when one starts its higher learning or enter in any institution or society).The same way you can check for other planets as well

Technique 2 : 

B)  Check where the Bhrigu Bindu is placed in the natal chart, the sign, planet placed in it and its lord shows what sort of karma is pending in this birth and whom it is pending and how one can finish it. If BB is placed in the 10th house then one may have pending karma with the society or with the environment where he works or with the colleagues he works in society. whenever any major planet like Jupiter, Rahu/Ketu and Saturn transit on this point; BB, native experience major shift in his destiny in that particular year till that Transit is active  with respect to that sign and house placement during particular years and same way vimshotri and Chara dasha of the BB lord point shows major shift one can experience in one’s destiny during their. We will explain the concept of Bhrigu Bindu in detail in the next part with an example chart.

Technique 3 : 

C) Check the house Placement and sign of the 3rd house and its lord ( Karyesha) in the natal and D3 chart ( Jaganath Drekkana) it shows your karma one is born with to fulfill in this birth by doing certain actions and karmas in the society. As 3rd house is the house of actions and initiatives done by the jeeva, and it is also directly opposite to the 9th house which shows your Past birth, father and the Bhagya, it shows your Free will (Force of karma that one perform against his destiny)  and in broader sense it will show your must-have actions or karmas that you need to perform in this birth to unlock the future karma or actions one need require in this current birth.

Technique 4 : 

D) Check the 6th house, Sign, planets placed in this house and its lord in the natal chart to decode the Shadripus one has to cross in this birth in order to achieve the purpose of this life. This house, planets placed in it and its lord shows what is the pending karma of this life that must be finish in order to finish or cross this life cycle barrier and reach to next life. For e.g if one has sign libra in the 6th house and there is no planet placed in the house then we have to see where 6th house lord is placed. that placement shows what sort of blockage one is experiencing in this birth  with respect to that particular house placement. If we take current Example, venus is 6th lord and if it is placed in the 10th house in Aquarius sign then one may experience a problem in his career or profession because of his relationships with the female members in his office environment or one can face problem in his career via his wife  or one face hurdle in his career life or performing certain karma in society due to the properties of the venus i.e problems via females, wife, wealth etc.

Technique 5 : 

E) Check Placement and Sign aspect of Saturn and Rahu in the natal chart, shows what is the Major karma that needs to work on it in current life and if both the planets make a relation to each other or some Sambandha in a way by Mutual Aspects, conjunctions then one need to first finish this house karma in order to grow or progress in this life. for e.g Saturn is placed in 8th house and Rahu is placed in the 5th house , As Saturn is aspecting 5th house by 10th aspect then one needs to finish the pending karma wrt to 5th house matters i.e Bhakti, Stability of the chitta ( Mind) affairs, romance, children’s and basic education etc.

Note : These Pending karmas one has to exhaust in any case without any delay or without escaping point from it, Dashas, Ad, and Pd of all these retrograde planets play the main role in turning life into a major transformative events and one has to finish it in any case by experiencing it and all these planets play a major role in transforming inner conscious (Spiritual instinct) of the native. Either they teach a hard lesson or one totally get spiritual in these dasha periods.

Technique 6 :

Karma from D9 and Divisional charts :
There are also few other pending Karmas which are very intense and one cannot avoid it and those are presence in the form of curses and Karmic point. All these intense karmas one has to seen from the D9, D3, D30 and D60 chart. Whereas Planetry conjunction with either North node or south nodes in D9 shows the Deep and very intense karmas which were long pending from many of the birth and native is trying to avoid it or carry forwarding to many of birth from long via some divine help, guru blessings or Good Deeds.
As, Rahu-Ketu shows Sudden karmic point whereas Saturn shows karma that one has to improve it in this birth with own efforts and actions. Rahu-Ketu karmas have come in the form of mundane and physical sufferings and karma of Saturn comes in the form of Learning and lessons.
i.e If Rahu is placed with Venus in d9 chart – One had deep, Sudden and intense karma connected with either wife or girlfriend, Relationships (Extra or pre-marital physical relations) , some karma connected with lady love or with women whom he loves in past birth that can give either intense suffering or one may learn a hard lessons after marriage or it can starts when one person get involved in any relationship.
If Sun is with Rahu, then one may play a deep and intense relationship with Father or fatherly figure people, this conjunction can activate a Pitru curse in chart when Sun is involved with either 5th or 9th lord in D1 chart and it is in conjunction in d9 chart. this can activate it either after marriage or when some joins Job or he or she do bad deeds to any of fatherly figure native.
If Moon is with Rahu – then it gives deep and intense emotional sufferings via Mother, mother in law or eldest sister or via suffering intensely in an emotional bond. this could be very intense when the moon is lord of 4th house in d1 and same time if it is lord of 7th lord in d9. then it can get activate after marriage.
same we can check for Planetary conjunction with Ketu that shows Long pending karma connected with the past birth that one is avoiding from many of the birth. Ketu shows what is left behind, one’s rejections that have to experience and what is you have to finish in this birth to grow yourself spiritually. Ketu is a planet of detachment so here suffering and the lesson is connected in the form of detachment and one may face lots of detachment via karaka of the planet as native may have given sufferings or detachment to someone in that past birth in any of the form

Other Pending karmas are seen from the D3, D30 and  D60 chart that shows the karma of immediate last birth, that one has to face or experience in this birth that we will cover in the 2nd part of this article with example charts. It could be seen in these above mentioned divisional charts when karka of any of planet is connected with Mars, Saturn and nodes in D3, D30 and D60 chart, those having lordship with the 6th, 8th, 12th or Lagna in the D1 chart.D3 chart majorly shows about the Bott past and future karma native has to experience i.e what is the soul goal of the native or what one has to experience in this birth due to the good and Bad deeds done via the native. whereas D30 chart shows about the Suffering one has to experience in this birth because of his weaknesses, shadripus, sins and past debts.

Life Reincarnation is mainly a vedic philosophical concept that an aspect of living being starts a new life in a different physical body after each bio-logical death. It is a central point of vedic literature. Then other Indian religions such as Buddhism, Jainism and Shikh follows this concept.

But today I am going tfo discuss regarding Reincarnation and Astrology. We all know the twin beliefs of Karma and Reincarnation are among Hinduism many jewels of knowledge. Karma literally means “deed or act”, but more broadly it describes the pinciple of cause and effect. Simply stated Karma is a law of action and reaction which governs conscioussness. In metaphysics, Karma is the law that states that every mental, emotional and physical act, no matter how insignificant, is projected out into yhe physic mind substance and eventually returns to the individual with equal impact.

In ‘Bhagvad Gita’ Lord Shree Krishna says to Arjuna –

“वासाांसस जीर्ाासि यथा सवहाय
िवासि गह्णृ ासि िरोऽपरासर् ।
िथा शरीरासर् सवहाय जीर्ाा
न्यन्यासि सांयासि िवासि देही ॥” – Chapter 2, verse 22

It means during our day to day liles we change our old and dirty cloths and take a new/clean cloths whenever we need. Similarly, the Souls or Aatman costs off its worn out physical body at regular intervals of time. Soul is immortal but the physical body is mortal.

This sloka or verse refers to the doctrine of Reincarnation in Vedic philosophy. Death is described here as the simple process of a worn out garmentsfor a new one. Death is nothing but a chage attire in an uninterrupted continuity of immortality. In ‘Bhagvad Gita’, chapter number 2, verse number 23 Lord Krishna states to Arjuna-

“ििै ां सिन्दसन्ि शस्त्रासर् ििै ां दहसि पावकः ।
ि चिै ां क्लेदयन््यापो ि शोषयसि मारुिः ॥”

Lord Krishna states Aatman can not be harmed by weapons- and since it is formless and shapeless – it can not be cut into pieces by any instruments. In the same way, fire can not burn it or destroy it. Water can not wet it because water can act only elements which have physical description or dimensions. For the same reason, wind can not dry it or exert any force on it. Thus the Aatman is beyond the influence of all three primary forces which can affect entities having physical form and description.

But today I am going to discuss regarding the relation between Astrology and Reincarnation. We all know Astrology is nothing but a celestial map of our previous births deeds. Our previous deeds or Karma decides our fate in this existance. By grace and blessings of my Ishtadev Lord Shiva, I am able to collect some birth datas of those people who can remember their previous births. I have collected those datas from various books and internet. I am thankful to them.Astrologically speaking a person’s natal chart does contain indicators for knowing the past and future births.

In a classic astrology book named Phaladeepika, we come to know how to predict past and future births. The author of this book is Manteswara, in the 14th chapter there comes information on astrological pointers to know previous and future births. According to Phaladeepika, the 9th house holds the key.

If 9th lord in natal chart is exalted, the previous birth was in a high society of good people. If 9th lord in natal chart is in debility or in enemy’s sign, the previous birth was in a different country. If 9th lord is in his own house or in a freind’s house, the previous birth was in the same country where the person belongs (Manteswara states Bharat Varsha/India).

In such cases, if 9th lord happens to be Jupiter, the person was born in Aryavarta (Himalayas Vindhyas area).

If 9th lord happens to be Venus or Moon, the person was born near sacred rivers such as Ganga,
Narmada, Kavery etc.

If 9th lord happens to be Mercury, the person was born near places of God like Lord Vishnu or Lord

If 9th lord happens to be Saturn, the person was born in meleccha desha- outside of India or where
Vedic culture is not prevailed.

If 9th lord happens to be Sun, the person was born in a place of forests or mountains.

If 9th lord happens to be Mars, the person was born in places where living was difficult.

To detect future birth we judge 5th lord carefully. To detect future birth same rules are applicable as
mentioned above. But here 5th lord should be judged instead of 9th lord.

Now we have to judge what kind of birth we spent during last birth and what kind of birth we will spend in future birth- whether as plant life or animal life.

According to Vedic philosophy the souls are born in four forms- as Devas, Human, Animals and Plant life.

Manteshwaraclearly states in his book Phaladeepika regarding this :

If the 9th lord is placed in Bhustadhaya rashi which is fixed sign also, the previous birth was that of same Vegetarian.

If the 9th lord is placed in Seershadhaya rashi which is movable sign also, the previous birth was that of same living being, either animal or man.

If the 9th lord is placed in exaltation sign or own house or friend’s house of the lagna lord, the previous
birth was that of a human being.

If the 9th lord is placed in neutral sign of the lagna lord, the previous birth was that of an animal.
If the 9th lord is placed in enemy sign of the lagna lord, the previous birth was that of a bird.

To detect future birth judge 5th lord in the same way as mentioned above.

These are the rules given by the famous astrologer Manteswara in his monumental book named –

We get some more clues regarding past and future births from “Brihat Jataka”- by Varahamihira.

According to Varahamihira, Jupiter,Moon and Venus, Sun and Mars, Saturn and Mercury bring people from Devloka, Pitriloka, Tiryagloka and Narakloka. respectively.

We have to judge first who is powerful among Sun and Moon is rashi chart. We have to choose the powerful one and see its position in Drekkana chart. The lord of that house signifies the key of previous birth.

In such a lord in D3 is Jupiter, it signifies that the person was in Devaloka before his birth on earth.

If such a lord is Moon or Venus then that person was in Pitriloka before his birth on earth.

If such a lord in D3 is Sun or Mars then that person was in Tiryaloka before his birth on earth.

If such a lord in D3 is Mercury or Saturn then that person was in Narakloka before his birth on earth.

To detect future birth take 8th lord and see the D3 chart where 8th lord occupies. The lord of the 3rd
house of 8th lord signifies future birth of native.

If such lord is exalted or in benefic position, then we come to this conclusion that person has enjoyed high status in that loka. If it is opposite then reversed result is indicated.

Now I am going to discuss on some case histories regarding this. I have collected these case histories from some books and internet. At the end of my article I will mention regarding this.

1. Shanti Devi and Ms Lugdi devi –

In Delhi, a little girl was born named Shanti. She was born on 11th december, 1926 at 13:48 pm. She gave an elaborate description about her past life. Common public were astonished having heard her statements. In her previous birth she was known as Ms Lugdi, died on 4th october 1925 during delivery of her third child. All of her statements were verified carefully by respected and educated persons including Mahatma Gandhi. Shanti Devi never married due to fear of pregnancy.

A) Chart of Lugdi Devi –

D.O.B- 18.01.1902, T.O.B- 10 AM, P.O.B- Mathura (U.P)

She died in Moon dasha-Rahu antardasha.This is Lugdi Devi’s chart who died at the time of delivery. She was born as Shanti Devi in her future birth.

Now Let’s examine her chart. Her 5th lord as well as 8th lord is Mercury. We all know 5th lord is indicator of future birth. 5th house lord Mercury occupies in 12th house in Capricorn. Capricorn is Saturn’s house. Saturn here lagna lord also. 5th lord Mercury is occupied in 12th house which is friend’s house of Mercury.

It denotes that native’s future birth will be as human. As we know Manteshwara states in his book ‘Phaladeepika’ – that if 9th or 5th lord isin own house or in a friend’s house then previous and future birth forms as human being and in same country.

Here Lugdi’s 5th lord Mercuryis in 12th house that means Saturn’s house which isher lagnesh also. Saturn’s friend is Mercury. So Lugdi Devi’s future birth would be as human being in same country that is India. Lugdi Devi reincarnated as Shanti Devi in her future birth. Lugdi Devi’s 5th lord Mercury occupies in venus navamsha. Venus occupies in lagna, Venus indicates sacred river such as Ganga, Yamuna, Kaveri etc. Lugdi Devi born as Shanti Devi in her future birth in Delhi where sacred Yamuna river exists.

Now I am going to discuss on Shanti Devi’s birth chart who was Lugdi Devi in previous birth. Born in Rahu mahadasha and Mercury antardasha.

Shanti Devi known as Lugdi Devi in her previous birth. Shanti Devi’s 9th lord is Mars, occupied in own house, aries. As per Manteshwara’s ‘Phaladeepika’- If 9th lord is in own house or in friend’s house, previous birth was as human being in same country. We know Lugdi Devi is born as Shanti Devi in Mathura. Mars is in Moon navamsa. Moon denotes sacred river such as Ganga, Yamuna etc. Mathura is near to sacred river Yamuna.

Notes: –

i) We observe that Lugdi’s ascendant was kumbha where Shanti Devi’s (incarnation of Lugdi Devi) ascendant is Meen, 2nd house of Kumbha. It means where Lugdi ended her life journey from there Shanti Devi started her journey again in a different physical body.

ii) Lugdi died in Moon dasha and Rahu antardasha. Shanti devi was born in Rahu mahadasha and Mercury antardasha.

2. Another case study of reincarnation is Rampratap Singh. Rampratap Singh was born in 10th january at 10:30 am in Delhi. He could remember his previous birth. According to him, he was born in same family where he is born in this birth. He died by an accident took place on 6th february 1983. In his previous birth he was born 30th december 1958 at 8:55 pm, Delhi. Now I am going to analyse his previous birth chart and his this existance birth chart.

Previous birth of Rampratap Singh

D.O.B- 30.12.1958, T.O.B- 08:55 PM, P.O.B- Delhi

This is the birth chart of Rampratap Singh’s previous existence. Let us analyse this. 5th lord denotes future birth. Here 5th lord occupies in 10th house in Aries sign which is Mars own sign. According to Manteshwara, If 5th lord is in own house or in a friend’s house, future birth will be as human being in same country. In his next birth the native born in same country and same city.

Now we will discuss his present birth chart. In his previous birth he died on 6th february 1983. And the
native born as Rampratap Singh on -10th january 1984 at 10:30 am in Delhi.

He was born in Saturn dasha aand mars antardasha.

His 9th lord Venus and 10th lord Mars interchanges house. So no malefic results will be occured. Venus is in star of Mercury. Mercury is friend of Saturn and Venus. So it indicates Rampratap Singh’s previous birth was as human being in a same country, same city. As his Lagna is in even sign and as his ascendant is in moon’s hora, Rampratap Singh is born in same family where he was born in his previous birth.

Case Study number- 3

Another rebirth case study I am going to mention here. The name of this person is Pooran Singh. He was born on 9th december 1968 at 4:10 am, Kapurthala.This person can remember his previous birth.

According to him he was born on 19th november 1929 at 6:26 pm at Moga and died on 19th may 1966 by an accident.

Pooran Singh’s previous birth chart-

He died in 19th may 1966 in Saturn dasha and Mercury antardasha.

From 5th lord we judge future birth. 5th lord Mercury is in 6th house Libra which is Venus sign. Venus is lagnesh and 6th lord also. Mercury and Venus are mutual friends of each other. In famous astrological book ‘Phaladeepika’, Manteshwara states that if 5th lord is occupied in own house or friend house then native’s future birth will be as human being and he will born in same country and same region. Hence all the combinations are fulfilled. After death the native is born as Pooran Singh at Kapurthala. Kapurthala and Moga’s distance is not so far. Both places are under Punjab state. Now i am going to analyse his present birth chart.

In Shashta Kanda of Mahabharat, Lord Shiva explains to Goddess Parvati: –

“Tasmajjatismara loke jayante Badhshanyukta
Tesha Vivardhatam sangya swapanvat sa pranashyati
Parlokashya chesitatve moodhanam karanam tuidam “

It means when a person who dies suddenly somewhere and is born again suddenly, his old habits and samskaars may remain for some time. But as they grow up, their old memories disappear like dreams.In this way birth and death cycle is going on. It will never be ended until soul get salvation or moksha.

Thats why Adi Shankaracharya states-

“Punaropi Jananam Punaropi maranam, punoropi janani jathare shyanam
Tha samsare khalu dustare – kripayapare pahi murae.”

It means we take birth again and again and die again anad again, sleep again and again in the womb of
mother. The world is so difficult place to stay. Oh God! rescue me from all this anad give me salvation.

Astrology says, 

“Avashyam anubhoktavyam kruta karma shubhashubham”

which means, one has to experience the effects of karma in any case whether it is part of good or bad actions.  Karma Phalas act like Newton’s third law of motion which clearly says that,

Karmaphala or the result of our actions equally works like newton’s third law of motion and the same are equally powerful, whether we do good or bad karma in any birth or life. Commentary by Swami Muktananda :

This is an extremely popular verse of the Bhagavad Gita,  It offers deep insight into the proper spirit of work. The verse gives four primary instructions regarding the science of work:

1) Do your duty, but do not concern yourself with the results.

2) The fruits of your actions are not for your enjoyment.

3) Even while working, give up the pride of doership.

4) Do not be attached to inaction.

Do your duty, but do not concern yourself with the results. We have the right to do our duty, but the results are not dependent only upon our efforts. A number of factors come into play in determining the results—our efforts, destiny (our past karmas), the will of God, the efforts of others, the cumulative karmas of the people involved, the place and situation (a matter of luck), etc. Now if we become anxious about results, we will experience anxiety whenever they are not according to our expectations.

So Shree Krishna advises Arjun to give up concern for the results and instead focus solely on doing a good job.

The fact is that when we are unconcerned about the results, we are able to focus entirely on our efforts, and the result is even better than before.

In the Next Verse, Shiri Krishna is advocating about the necessity of the actions or work that we have to perform in any case that we cannot avoid or move away from it. 

Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 18, Verse 11

न हि देहभृता शक्यं त्यक्तुं कर्माण्यशेषत: |
यस्तु कर्मफलत्यागी स त्यागीत्यभिधीयते || 11||

na hi deha-bhṛitā śhakyaṁ tyaktuṁ karmāṇy aśheṣhataḥ
yas tu karma-phala-tyāgī sa tyāgīty abhidhīyate


BG 18.11: For the embodied being, it is impossible to give up activities entirely. But those who relinquish the fruits of their actions are said to be truly renounced.


The explanation was given by Swami Mukundananda:

Shree Krishna clearly says that the state of complete inactivity is impossible for the embodied being.No, one can stay away from any sort of action and work. one has to perform every sort of action in any case. However, Shree Krishna states here that if one can give up attachment to the fruits of actions, it is considered perfect renunciation.

रागी कर्मफलप्रेप्सुर्लुब्धो हिंसात्मकोऽशुचि: |
हर्षशोकान्वित: कर्ता राजस: परिकीर्तित: || 27||

harṣha-śhokānvitaḥ kartā rājasaḥ parikīrtitaḥ


BG 18.27: The performer is considered in the mode of passion when he or she craves the fruits of the work, is covetous, violent-natured, impure, and moved by joy and sorrow.

The explanation was given by Swami Mukundananda:

” Karmas or work are described according to the nature of the doer and categorized into three parts majorly; Satvik, Rajasik, and Tamasik. The sāttvic workers are motivated by the desire for spiritual growth, the rājasic workers are deeply ambitious for materialistic enhancement. They do not realize that everything here is temporary and will have to be left behind one day. Agitated with immoderate rāg (desires of the mind and senses), they do not possess the purity of intention. They are convinced that the pleasure they seek is available in the things of the world. Hence, never satisfied by what comes their way, they are lubdhaḥ (greedy for more). When they see others succeeding or enjoying more than them, they become hinsātmakaḥ (enviously bent on injury). To fulfill their ends, they sometimes sacrifice morality and hence become aśhuchiḥ (impure). When their desires are fulfilled they become elated, and when they are daunted they get dejected. In this way, their lives become harṣha śhoka anvitaḥ (a mixture of delights and sorrows).”

BG 5.14: Neither the sense of doership nor the nature of actions comes from God; nor does he create the fruits of actions. All this is enacted by the modes of material nature (guṇas).Commentary

The explanation was given by Swami Mukundananda ;
In the above-mentioned verse, the word Prabhu has been used for God, to indicate that he is the Lord of the world. He is an omnipotent and controls the entire universe. He conducts the activities of the universe, he remains the non-doer. He is neither the director of our actions nor does he decree whether we will perform a particular virtuous or evil deed. Had he been our director, there would be no need for elaborate instructions on good and bad actions.
All the scriptures would have ended in three short sentences:

“O souls, I am the director of all your works. So you do not need to understand what good or bad action is. I will make you do as I wish.”

Similarly, God is not responsible for our getting stuck with the sense of doership. If he had deliberately created the pride of doing in us, then again we could have blamed him for our misdoings. But the fact is that the soul brings this pride onto itself out of ignorance. If the soul chooses to do away with ignorance, then God helps dispel it with his grace. Thus, renunciation of the sense of doer ship is the responsibility of the soul. The body is constituted of the three modes of material nature, and all actions are performed by the modes. But out of ignorance, the soul identifies with the body and becomes implicated as the doer of actions, which are in fact done by material nature (verse 3.27).

From all that we have found ultimate goal or motive of any soul is Self-realization from all sorts of Karam yogas or spiritual paths, which are majorly discussed in the Bhagavadgita in most of the chapter and it is the only purpose why a soul is kept taking on birth and keep doing the Karma and experiencing the phala for same until and unless soul becomes totally purified from every sort of actions and causes. Astrologically, Jagannath Drekkena Chart along with Privritti-traya Drekkana is widely used to understand every sort of karma one has to perform in the material world.

At the opening of the Third Chapter,  Arjuna is confused by Krishna’s instructions in the previous chapter.

He has misconceived that Krishna’s telling him to control his senses and fix his mind and intelligence on the Supreme is incompatible with the performance of the action. Karma, or fruitive work, brings both material enjoyment and material suffering. Whether the results of the action are pleasant or unpleasant, however, they bind one to the bondage of repeated birth and death in the material world.

Krishna explains further that inaction is insufficient to save one from material reactions (and subsequent bondage to the material world).

By nature, everyone is forced to act. Even to maintain the physical body, one must work.

Therefore, one should work in a way that will not further entangle one in material bondage but will lead to ultimate liberation.

That art of work is karma-yoga; working and acting under the direction of the Supreme (Vishnu or Krishna) for His satisfaction.

Why sinful acts:

In the last section of this chapter, Arjuna asks, “By what is one impelled to sinful acts, even unwillingly, as if engaged by force?”

Krishna answers that it is lust (material desire) :

What is Drekkana and how Jagannath Drekkana is different from the usual Drekkna chart?


In the Current article, we will study the Jagannath Drekkana along with D1 and D9. Generally, D3 or Dresh-Kana, drekkana has a root connected with the word Darshan which means seeing or visualizing objects those are apparent and hidden in nature. Kana means the corner and in the astrological language, it speaks about the Trikonas or trine.

Thus, the word  Drekkana represents the division where the sign, trine speaks about the Apparent and hidden personality and nature of the native chart.

Mathematically, The Drekkana is1/3rd of the divisional chart and it has a deep link with the 3rd house, as the 3rd house is falling in the 8th from the 8th house which shows roots connected with the 8th house. Generally, Drekkana is calculated by dividing each sign into 10-degree segments.

Planets those are falls, in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd division of each sign, are then placed in the Drekkana Chart in Trines ( the 1st, 5th, or 9th ) from that sign. In every Drekkana chart, every sign is divided into 3 equal parts of 10 degrees each of which is known as Drekkana.

The first Drekkana of every sign ( 0-10) would be of the same sign. the 2nd Drekkana ( 10-20) of every sign would fall in the 5th sign from it. The last Drekkana (20-30) of every sign would fall in the 9th sign from it. When a sign is divided into three parts each of them constitutes a Drekkana.

The Jagannath Drekkana starts from the Movable sign in trine to the sign. For a movable sign, drekkana would start from the sign itself, for a fixed sign, drekkana would start from the 9th from the sign and for dual signs drekkana would start from the 5th from the sign. That is what we had studied in the Karma theory and we called it Karma yoga or the sole purpose of this birth. This is the only reason why Jagannath drekkaṇa is the most important divisional chart to understand the task assigned or the life direction of the native for its success or failure, to understand all sorts of fluctuations one may face in current birth.
Even it shows, what Native has brought back from the past life that one has to bear it or go through it in current birth. This can be understood in a way that what is the root cause of this birth actions as a result of the past karma done by the soul.

1) First, of all, we have to study or see the 3rd lord of the Natal chart which acts as Karyesa then see where the Karyesa is placed in the Jagannath Drekkana chart (D3) and which house does it lord.


2) The placement and houses lorded by the Karyesa of the D1  in D3 indicate what is the prime area where one has to go through it, it could also indicate one about its suffering or the redemption one can get from his past life karma.
3) Meanwhile, any Planet in the 3rd house of the D3 Shows what the native has to do in the future for fulfilling the goals of life that have been assigned to the native.

This also indicates that sufferings are dynamic in nature and it can go and come on the journey of life during its Dashas, Bhukti, and Pratyantar dashas. Basically, it shows about Suffering those are temporary in nature and shall not carry forward till the whole life.
Any Planet in the Sthira Rashi (Bhuva-Loka), shows the sufferings that one gets via the anger or affliction of the planetary deity toward the native actions in the past life. Any planet in the Dual Rashis (Swargaloka) shows that Gods or Higher Deities are not happy with the native previous birth actions. In the Above mentioned natal chart, Karyesa is mars being the 3rd lord in Aquarius Lagna, also being Chara Amatya-karaka placed in the 8th house in Virgo Sign (Dual Sign) with lagnesha Saturn, also Atma-Karka, clearly shows that the native has born to explore, research and write about the hidden meaning of traditional knowledge (Jyotish, occult, and Mathematical Sciences) in a new shape or modern form with the more technical, scientifical or analytical approach via writing down journals or research paper socially.

As Karyesha is in the dual sign – Swarga Loka, the Higher god or deity is in anger state toward the native and there is no redemption from the suffering one might face in his life, as Karyesa Mars being Amk and Ak both are in the retrograde state. For future actions or direction of the native, this chart shows strong karmic root and karma yoga in this life, and for that, we have to look for the 3rd house of d3 which is vacant. In that case, we have to look for placement of  3rd lord in the d3 chart.


In D3 chart, lord of the 3rd house is Sun who is placed in the 2nd house with the moon getting Rasi aspect from the Venus and Jupiter from 9th and 12th house, clearly shows one has to be responsible regarding 2nd house matters (Family Wealth, Values, Family Responsibility toward parents) and one has to be spiritually align toward higher path of Bhakti or eternal devotion, as both the sun (Ruled by the Para Vidya – it is knowledge of higher spirituality and divine path, lorded by the Sun, who is the natural atmakaraka)and moon (Apara Vidya – is the knowledge of the material realm and is lorded by the Moon who is natural ruler of the mind and shows resources) are involved here in the Sign of Cancer  (Sign of basic learning, education, and Bhakti experience) with the rasi aspect of Jupiter (all form of Non-material Knowledge, including Guru guidance, and teaching – shows all form of Shashtric knowledge those are spiritually in nature including jyotisha – the light of illuminating darkness) and Venus (Knowledge of those are governed by the Material things including healing, Mantric, Tantric or siddhis etc).




This clearly shows that a native has to learn, serve and share his spiritual experience via Jyotish, Occult, and healing sciences after experiencing it by self and that would be his “Karma of the future Birth” to help, lift and guide others in a right direction via the modes of deep spiritual experiences and knowledge. In the Swami Viveka Nanda chart, the 3rd house of the Natal chart is ruled by two lords Rahu and Saturn and both Saturn and Rahu are somehow interconnected with each other. Saturn being (BK- Bharti Karka) is in the 10th house from the Sun (AK) with the 8th lord Moon and Saturn is aspecting Rahu from the 3rd house that shows deep-rooted Karmic task assigned and given to Swami Viveka Nanda for the well-being of the society and mankind by Karma Yoga (Moon and Saturn in 10th – A yogi is born).


Saturn is all about studying deep-rooted karmas and experiencing and realizing deep karmic roots for uplifting those who are in need. It’s a good yoga of learning Karma and its pahla by self-realization and, as in Swami Vivekananda’s case Saturn is the 3rd lord associated with the 8th lord moon, so it is all about finishing the task of past birth assigned to him for liberating many souls those are directionless or unguided from the present birth tasks.


Karyesha (3rd lord of the D1) is Saturn and is placed in the 6th house in Sthira Rashi of Taurus (Sign of Wealth, family & values). As Karyesha is placed in the fixed sign, Suffering is at the Bhuva-Loka, which means one who realized at the Soul level, here Soul experiences are mainly ruled. It is about learning at the Atmic level (Soul realization, Sun Lagna) and one gets in the form of wealth, Finance, and Soul transformations. Here Wealth could be in any form as might be one of the Punya of the past life too.


In Swami Vivekananda’s chart, Graha  (Planetary deity) is angry toward him and affliction is at the graha level and he will suffer on account of planetary anger. In D3 chart Saturn (BK- shows Guru teaching for the karma yoga of the future) is placed in the sign of Taurus (Wealth and family values)  with Moon (Amk –  Task given to him) and Mercury clearly shows Swami Vivekananda has to leave or sacrifice family life or follow the path of Moksha or liberation, or on account of his family wealth.


This will happen only when he will meet his guru and will realize his Soul purpose, as Saturn being Bk also the lord of the 2nd and 3rd house in both D1 and D3 charts placed in the 6th house with Moon and Mercury. Swami will accomplish this task via self-learning, self-realizing it via Manan, or practicing it via deep self-questioning or via meditation. As in both D1 and D3 charts, Karyesha Saturn and other lord Rahu is placed in the sign of Pisces and Taurus getting the Rashi aspect from Jupiter and Sun (Ak).


As the 8th lord moon is involved here with Karyesha Saturn (BK), swami Viveka  Nanda will realize this life Karma-Yoga after meeting his divine guru who would be a Kali or Devi worshipper (Saturn is with Moon shows Devi worshipper or deity who illuminates one’s darkness from the soul and karma) and then he will realize his life goal or would understand his task given via his guru teaching, guidance and he will undertake this task Via mediation – Manan (Moon is ruled by the Apara Vidya and also Amk too, shows all form of knowledge one experience, realize or one get it via manan or via senses and it includes all the worldly knowledge in any art and science, including the knowledge of Vedas, Vedanta, and Vedanga).


Apara Vidya encompasses the entire spectrum of ‘objects’, that is, anything that can be objectified by our senses or mind. Anything that can be ‘seen’ is an object of Apara Vidya. Under this category comes all our worldly knowledge. Science, arts, commerce, management, technical knowledges, etc.


Interestingly the teacher even classifies the knowledge of the Vedas and Vedanga’s in this category, because they are also a part of the limited & changing world in front of us. Apara Vidya is worth knowing because of various reasons. One, specialization in any one field of the objective world, helps us to serve our society & world better, two, the pursuit of knowledge disciplines our mind & intellect, so that we become capable of thinking deeply & properly, and last but not the least, this pursuit of Apara Vidya helps us to realize the ephemerality of the objective world, and thus helps us to get qualities of vairagya, etc, and also motivates us to look out for something more permanent in this ever-changing world.


The objective of this categorization is to indicate to us that however much we may know about the world outside, by this pursuit alone we shall never move towards omniscience. Apara Vidya shall help us to make a living, have a dignified & respectable life, and have a thoughtful intelligent mind, but never ever hope that you shall move towards omniscience. This is not the way for the fulfillment of such an aspiration.


This clearly shows swami Vivekananda’s eternal goal for this life is to awaken people who are misguided in the path of darkness to move toward balanced material and spiritual knowledge.


In the D3 chart, Karyesha is placed in the 6th house and is the ruler of the 2nd and 3rd houses showing that swamiViveka-Nanda has to accomplish this  Karma yoga task via visiting too many places, communicating, via delivering the speeches, traveling or leaving his family life. As Both Jupiter and Venus are Aspecting it from the 11th and the 2nd house from the D3 lagna via Rasi drishti. He has to do this task via learning and experiencing every sort of material and non-material knowledge and he needs to travel across the globe to deliver it in many of the forms, as the sun being AK placed in the 8th from the Karyesha and lordship of the 8th from it, Jupiter also aspecting it shows that the, its a long-lasting task assigned to him for the well being of the society till his conscious soul is alive. Its an Atmic task given to him for uplifting mankind.


Final Conclusion:  I hope from the above-mentioned example charts and understanding of the Jagannath Drekkana D3 chart, one can understand his karma yoga and find his soul purpose, and able to do his destined karma yoga for the future life.

Raghu, a 35 year old man from a city of Punjab, facing problems in various facets of his life. Understanding Runanubandha from Mahabharata

Story Begins :  Mahabharata , Bhisma, Arjuna and Runanubandhan

An excerpt from the short narrative that depicts Bhishma and Arjuna having a conversation is shown here. During the Mahabharta conflict, Bhishma was fully aware of the fact that he was also on the side of the Kauravas; nevertheless, it was just his physical body that was on their side; his heart was not on their side.

During their conversation, Bhishma shared with Yudhishthira the following:

“My son, Duryodhana, was doomed when he ignored Krishna’s advice; your victory was guaranteed.” Place Shikhandi in front of me while we are engaged in combat, and I will let down my bow and arrows. I will not have a fight.”

Now the issue that has to be asked is, “Why Shikhandi?

“In his previous existence, Bhishma had turned down the opportunity to marry Amba, and he was aware that Shikhandi was none other than herself “.

It was her desire to get revenge on him. After that, she prayed to Lord Shiva, wishing for a blessing that would allow her to eliminate Bhishma herself. The blessing was bestowed upon her by Lord Shiva; she was reborn with the intention of killing Bhishma; however, Bhishma refused to acknowledge Shikhandi as a man and would not engage in combat with her.

This one again demonstrates that karmic connections always come to us in whatever form, whether it be in the form of revenge, love, or hatred, and that it often manifests itself as pains as well. Runanubandham, which translates to “karmic relationship with them,” is the format in which one must pay off his karmic obligation.

In addition, while Bhishma was laying down at the conclusion of the Kurukshetra War, after being wounded by Arjuna’s thousand arrows, Bhishma provided Arjuna with the following explanation of the previous life:

Oh,  Pandavas !  The actions that we have taken in the past have resulted in everything. The seeds of plants will never germinate if they are not planted.

In a similar vein, actions that were carried out in the past, whether they were good or terrible, have the potential to bring about positive or negative outcomes in the present. One may acquire huge fortune in the present without exerting any effort if they have made charitable contributions in the past.
Tapas that were prepared in the past bring about joys in the present.

Through the performance of service to elders and gurus in previous lifetimes, one is able to acquire knowledge and intellect without having to formally study under any guru. If a person is able to observe non-violence in their previous life, then they will continue to live for a significant amount of time in their current existence.

Because of this, sadhus, also known as saints, constantly practice nonviolence, donate to charitable causes, respect gurus, and serve elders and visitors, among other things. Then and only then will they be able to take pleasure in the next death. To put it another way, it is all about carrying out good or bad karmas in the past in order to achieve a positive or negative outcome in the present.

“sariram yad avapnoti yac chapy utkramatishvarah grhitvaitani samyati vayur gandhan ivasayat”
(Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fifteen verse 8)


“Sri Krishna said:O Arjuna, As the wind carries away odours from their seat, even so the Jivatma (soul), the lord of the body, snatching these (the mind & the senses) from the body, which it casts off, migrates into the body, which it acquires.

“yada sattve pravrddhe tu pralayam yati deha-bhrt
tadottama-vidam lokan amalan pratipadyate”

(Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fourteen verse 14)

“Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, When one dies in the mode of goodness, he attains to the pure higher planets of the great sages.”

“rajasi pralayam gatva karma-sangisu jayate
tatha pralinas tamasi mudha-yonisu jayate”

“Sri Krishna said:  O Arjuna, When one dies in the mode of passion, he takes birth among those engaged in fruit producing activities (i.e. as a man or woman on earth); and when one dies in the mode of ignorance, he takes birth in the bird & animal kingdom.”

The True Definition: Runanubandha

In reality, Runanubandhan is the bond of karmic activities that occurred in previous births. These actions are the outcome of karmic debts that are at the base of the repeated lives that we participate in within this cosmic cycle. The many karmas that we are doing in our day-to-day lives lead us to a great number of “Rina,” and this Rina, in turn, leads to karma once again.

It is a cycle that goes in both directions. If you have ever given or done anything to another person in a previous life, the memory of those karmic deeds will be stored in your soul, which is also known as your astral body, and there will be a connection between the soul and all of the memories. In this life, the person or soul to whom you have done anything, whether it be something good or something harmful, will be your debtor or your creditor. In the event that you have taken anything in the past, it will be taken away from you in whatever birth that you take; it may be this present delivery, or it could be because of some birth. You will be rewarded in some way in the future for the good deeds you have performed in the past.

The astral body continues to store the memories, sorrows, and joys of all of the Runanubandham relations in countless incarnations. This occurs in the various births that we take. There is no use in attempting to break free from the cycle of birthing unless and until all of the karma that is stored in the soul body is either burnt away or exhausted by the physical body. According to logic, we are recollections of the runanubandham that occurred throughout each and every incarnation, and the numerous karmas that we do in each connection are a reflection of some kind of runanubandha.

Those individuals with whom we have a strong connection or relationship will be a part of our strong runanubandha.

In this life, these individuals typically become our parents, spouses, children, and close friends.

What Sadguru has to say about Runanubandha

I have discovered that in many instances, individuals continue to engage in several sexual and physical intimate relationships with a large number of others, and even they do not feel or know what they are doing. This is something that I have personally seen. Later on, when karma begins to play its part in the form of pain in their intimate relationships, such as marriage and children, people either make an effort to forgive themselves or experience intense feelings of guilt in their subconscious mind.  It is the issue of why this is the case.
It is clear that Sadguru Ji has stated, “Sexual relationships have the greatest impact on our lives in terms of the amount of memory or subconscious impression they leave in our minds as compared with any other kind of touch or any substance you come into contact with.”
This statement is in accordance with the Runanubandha theory, which is explained in Karma and Memory. In order to get a complete grasp of Runanubandhan, it is essentially the physical memory that is connected to the soul that we carry from. The acquisition of this memory may occur via any sexual interaction, even those that are based on blood.

It is said by Sadguru Ji that when it comes to sexual interactions, a woman’s body has a far greater memory and tolerance ability to experience the pain and amount of suffering that is associated with that, and it may lead to feelings of guilt or a sense of distinction. The body of a male has a far greater capacity for memory when it comes to genetic material.

In general, a woman’s body stores less physical memory than a man’s body does after the age of eighteen to twenty-one years old. A woman is required to have a kid from a guy who is not genetically related to her in order for this to occur. This is the primary reason why nature has proceeded in this manner. Her genetic memory must be reduced in order for her to be able to carry the kid to term. This is of the utmost importance.

Resolving Karmic Debts

The Padma Purana provides insights into how to resolve our karmic debts and liberate ourselves from the cycle of Runanubandha. It emphasizes the importance of self-reflection, selflessness, and acts of compassion.

By engaging in selfless actions and cultivating a mindset of forgiveness and understanding, we can gradually dissolve our karmic debts and alleviate the burdens they impose. The scriptures encourage us to let go of resentment, seek reconciliation, and strive for spiritual growth.

The Path to Liberation

The ultimate goal of understanding Runanubandha and resolving our karmic debts is to attain liberation or Moksha. The Vedic scriptures teach that by breaking free from the cycle of birth and death, one can merge with the divine and achieve eternal bliss.

Through self-realization and spiritual practices such as meditation, yoga, and selfless service, individuals can transcend the limitations of their karmic debts and realize their true nature as divine beings.


Runanubandha is a concept that is addressed in the Padma Purana and other Vedic traditions. It provides significant insights into the interconnection of all creatures as well as the role that karma plays in molding our existence.

By gaining a knowledge of our karmic obligations and working to resolve them, we may create the road for our own spiritual development and freedom. In order to break free from the cycle of Runanubandha and achieve spiritual emancipation, let us take the lessons of the Vedic texts to heart and make it our goal to develop compassion, forgiveness, and selflessness in our daily lives.
